We got lucky and had just the two of us and our tour guide for our group. Leonardo was extremely knowledgeable and informative. He provided immense historical background at each location as well as recommendations to make the most of our stay. The itinerary was exactly as listed. While we would have enjoyed more time at each location to view and absorb the art, the tickets provided granted us access to return throughout the weekend to spend more time on our own.

SO.MANY.STAIRS. First off, be mindful of meeting space and what company you are doing the tour with. Two tour companies, same meeting place, very similar names. First stop was to see the statue of David. Definitely worth seeing, dont need more than 20 min. Larger then expected! Ticket package was mainly purchased for the Duomo tour. Skipping the lines, Definitely worth it. Its a very well oiled machine. I was not prepared for the not only the amount of steps, but the severity of the steepness, the NARROW walls ans WINDY staircase. I'm claustrophobic and it definitely tested me in some places. We were with a group of about 12 people and we were able to go at our own pace. Take water and take your time. The end destination and views was worth it. Just note, the same way you went up is the same way you go down. More steep, windy, small steps. Legs will feel like jello after this tour! Our tour guide was very nice, very knowledgeable and kept us at a pace that was comfortable for the whole group.
