Guided Cathedral visits take place on afternoon tours; morning tours include independent entry after the tour with your pre-reserved tickets.
Low season (generally November to March) is often seen as an opportunity for renovation and maintenance. Therefore, sites may be closed during this period, often without warning.
Please note that Cathedral entry is not available on Sundays.
Individuals wearing sleeveless shirts and shorts above knees are not allowed inside the cathedral.
Backpacks of any size or dimension, and any bag designed to be worn on the back, are not allowed.
This tour includes portions that are outside and could be in the full sun. Please bring a hat, small umbrella, or sunscreen if you are sensitive to the sun.
Arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the start of the tour. This is due to the timed entry of the tickets.
It is not possible to join the tour after it has commenced.
Tips/gratuities (for your guide) are always appreciated.
The baptistery is currently undergoing restoration of the vault's mosaics.
Giotto’s Bell Tower has no lift available.
Both the Duomo Museum and the Florence Baptistery are scheduled to be visited; however, depending on timing and availability, the tour may include only one of the two sites.
You may be refused entry if you fail to comply with the cathedral’s dress requirements.
The Cathedral is an active place of worship and may be closed to visitors at any time for liturgical services or religious ceremonies, sometimes without prior notice.

5.00Since it was our honeymoon, we were trying to avoid group tours as much as possible, but this was the perfect small-group tour for our trip. We got to see the highlights of Florence without spending too much time in any museum. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and so open to answering questions. We got especially lucky with our tour since we were the only ones that booked the extra part of the tour, so it was just us 2 and the tour guide for half of the tour. We learned and saw so much in a small amount of time and felt it was a great value for the money. Would definitely recommend!

5.00Our tour guide was amazing!!! We did the three hour Florence tour with the ability to still do the bell tower, museum and the cathedral later in the day! Thus you had 6 hours of activity locked in this tour! Highly recommend!!
