Skip the entrance lines and climb to the top of Brunelleschi's Dome in a Small Group with an expert guide! Majestically dominating the city skyline, the terracotta dome of Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore (or Florence Duomo, as it’s more commonly known) is easily Florence's most iconic attraction. Experience this masterpiece of architectural genius.

Please be aware that every 1st Tuesday of each month, the Cathedral Museum is closed and will be subsituted by a guided tour inside the Baptistry.

Most catholic churches in Italy require a dress code in order to enter. For The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence, you are requested to be covered from shoulders to knees (shoulders, chest, stomach and thighs must be all covered by clothing) It is permissible to wear shorts, provided that they are long enough to cover your thighs and knees. You are also permitted to wear tank tops or spaghetti strap dresses, but you will need to bring with you a garment (shawl, jacket, cardigan) that can cover all the exposed parts between your shoulders and knees when you enter the building. Thank you for your understanding and if please contact us if you require further clarification.

The tickets included with your tour are valid for one-time entrance to every site of the Opera del Duomo complex (Museum, Bell Tower, Baptistery, Crypt). As part of the tour, you will enter the museum, private terraces and climb to the top of the dome. These sites will not be accessible a second time with the ticket that we provide. So, for example: If you wish to visit the museum again after the tour, you will need to independently purchase a new ticket. You can use the ticket provided to enter (one time per site) the remaining location: The Bell Tower, Baptistery and Cathedral Crypt. Post-tour the skip-the-line service is no longer guaranteed. Please show your ticket to the personnel at each site and they will indicate the first time slot available for you.

We toured with Francesca, who was friendly, extremely knowledgeable and gave us a thorough history of the duomo and baptistery. Climbing the 463 steps to the top was well worth it! We appreciated Francesca getting us access to an area near the altar off limits to regular ticket holders.

The tour was great and very informative, and skipping the lines was very nice! Helena did a great job at keeping a good pace so the group wouldn't get tired too quickly. She did so well that the dome climb felt pretty easy, though, it should be noted that you need to be in good physical condition to do the climb. This is definitely a must do tour in Florence.

Helena was AMAZING. So knowledgeable. The trip up to the Duomo is not for the faint of heart! Seriously, small corridors and tight walkways hundreds of feet in the air but the view is incredible. We did this in December and it was perfect, I would not recommend this in the summer heat given the tight conditions.

Our Duomo tour was excellent. Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and knew the history of the Duomo, Baptist history, and Belltower very well. She was from Florence so she was very knowledgeable about the city.

Our tour guide was very informative. It was nice to skip the line worth the value. You do need to be able to climb lots of stairs to reach the very top. Beautiful view

Excellent all the way through. Elena was lovely and funny and thoughtful and thorough and brilliant! Stairs were a challenge but she went slow enough to catch our breath. I highly recommend.

Great tour. The tour guide spoke clearly, was understandable, entertaining and very knowledgeable. There are a lot of stairs, but even at 65 I had no problem handling it.

Elisabetta is incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the city and the many artists whose work is contained within the museum. In particular, she took the time to identify works representing advances in artistic styles and changes in philosophical thought from the medieval times to Renaissance, such as the evolution of perspective and the switch from tempera paints to oils, and the move from purely religious to human subjects.

Thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Brian who shared his knowledge of Florence's history and the Duomo. It makes a huge difference to have skip the line access to the dome so you can avoid lines. We climbed both the dome and the bell tower and would highly recommend the dome for the unobstructed panoramic views and the close up viewing of the frescoed ceiling.
