Prepare yourselves to explore the history, the architecture, the culture and the gastronomy of the capital of Santa Catarina with a local Historian! Join us!
Once we're all together in front of the local coffee shop Café Da Praça, we'll begin the tour around the historic centre and we'll learn of the secrets of its most important monuments and buildings.
As we walk, we'll talk about the indigenous groups that occupied the Island of Santa Catarina, and travel through the 17th century, a time marked by the arrival of Portuguese colonisers and African enslaved.
After learning about the founders of the nicknamed "Magic Iisland", we'll make our way to the Cruz e Sousa Palace and the November 15th Square.
Next, we'll explore important landmarks for the black community in Florianopolis. In addition, we'll also pass by the Álvaro de Carvalho Theatre, one of the most beautiful monuments in the city.
We'll finish the experience with a little tour and a surprise at the Public Market.

What To Expect
Largo da Alfandega
We will meet outside Café Bar do Largo da Alfândega (Largo da Alfândega, 142 - Centro, Florianópolis). There you will be able to get a coffee, water and use the restroom before taking off.
This is a memorial for one of the city's old pier and most popular bar

5.00Super pleasant experience, cold and delicious. We passed the beach of Penha, Balneário Camburiu and Florianópolis. It is beautiful, the beaches super quiet and safe at night, excellent restaurants with great wine options to enjoy the view that was very special for me. We stayed in a hotel on the beach, restaurant nearby, it was raining, and yet it was very worth the experience. High prices, given that the date was of significant tourist movement. It was worth it!

The photos create a relevant context for the presentation, and the lesson Isaac gives is easy to understand. Mandatory script for those seeking to understand the historical importance of the island of magic.

5.00Isaac had it all against him on the day of our tour, an imposing heat, several attractions closed for the pre-carnival that we had to see in the distance....and what did he do in two hours? Give us the best historical tour of Florianópolis, interactive (questions and prizes, hehehehe), interesting facts (best bars and nightclubs), shopping and food streets, muuuuuuu much information concentrated on the two hours walk....... chapeau for Isaac, more than recommended, a must-see of Floripa, and deserves more than the 5 points that Tripadvisor delivers (visited with my 11-year-old daughter in February 2026).

5.00I left the ISAAC tour having a lot of information about the history of this region, along with recommendations for places to eat, drink, drink coffee and even dance. Maintaining interest when talking about history is a great credit. If you come, you MUST, take this tour with him.

5.00Highly recommend. The guide is a trained historia - extremely knowledgeable and a fantastic storyteller - so the history felt engaging and easy to follow. I really appreciated the social and cultural context, including thoughtful acknowledgment of Indigenous lands. The tour was very clear and well paced, and the small group size made it perfect for asking questions and having discussions. We also got great local tips on where to eat and drink, plus a helpful overview of the public market. An excellent way to understand the city and get oriented.
