Any age child can enjoy the airboat tour. Children 3 years and under are free. It is not necessary to purchase a ticket for ages 3 years and under.
Tour operator reserves the right to cancel the tour due to inclement weather
If you have selected the 4 p.m. time please note that it is a check in time only and that your airboat adventure will be leaving the dock at 5 p.m. so that you have ample time to explore the exhibit areas before they close at 5 p.m.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
What To Expect
Sawgrass Recreation Park
Skim across the grassy water at speeds up to 40 miles per hour while looking for wildlife like alligators, fish, turtles, and wading birds. This general admission ticket includes entrance to Sawgrass Recreation Park, a 30-40 minute guided airboat tour and an admission to our Alligator & Reptile Exhibit. Just 25 minutes from Fort Lauderdale, the safest and most entertaining and educational way to experience the Everglades’ unique subtropical ecosystem is at Sawgrass Recreation Park.

4.00We didn’t know what to really expect. We hoped to see a lot alligators, like you see on TV. That wasn’t really the case. The environment hasn’t been friendly to the gators and we were fortunate to see one from afar. Our guide was pleasant with a great sense of humor. He tried to over deliver on sharing far facts about Florida and wildlife. I’m sure it’s not an easy gig when there’s not much out to see. We didn’t check out the live animals in sanctuary or the food truck. The gift shop has a lot to choose from and they offer souvenir picture packages. The airboat ride was worthy of the pride. I don’t know if I would do it again but it’s worth a try if you haven’t done one.

4.00Overall this was fun, but the guides need to know that we are not going on the airboat ride JUST to find alligators! There were several beautiful birds sighted on the ride, but there was not one word said about them. Some of us like being educated, and not just "thrilled". We particularly enjoyed talking to the "handlers" at the wildlife center. We learned a lot there!
