The Grand Mazu Temple in Tainan was once the residence of a prince from the Ming Dynasty. Learn about its history and take a look at this temple, which holds the highest status among others. You have the chance to make your own talismans here as well.

Excellent way to taste a variety of Tainan's food (including a delicious dumpling and noodle lunch), visit the market, see a number of temples, learn about Taiwanese customs and history, and generally get a good sense of the city. Annie was knowledgeable and enthusiastic and we had a delightful morning.

3.00It was our first introduction to Tainan so it was nice to have a guide to show us the places to eat and learn about temple etiquette and some history. Our guide was nice and knowledgeable. Unfortunately the food is not included in the tour, which I found surprising for a food tour. I wouldn't recommend based on the price.

5.00This was a fantastic tour. The guide Jenny was amazing and showed me streets and places off the beaten path. I was impressed by her knowledge and skills at navigating the alleyways off the main streets. You would never off thought there was so much activity and culture down these alleyways. There was a good amount of information shared and area covered. Highly recommend.
Jenny made Tainan unforgettable with great stories, local knowledge, and delicious food stops.

The delicious stops at local food stalls were a real highlight and added so much to the experience. Without Jenny, we would never have experienced Tainan in such a fun and memorable way. She knows exactly where to go and shows you the very best and most charming spots in the city. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and highly recommend her to anyone visiting Tainan.

Jenny is extremely knowledgeable about a diverse range of topics, from cooking and markets to temples, the colonial history and the cultural and literary figures of Tainan. Even if you have done a food or Taiwanese culture tour elsewhere on the island, you will not regret doing this one!
