The tour guide was very friendly and good company, but the tour wasn’t worth the money. We hit two food spots and while we saw several temples and shrines, the tour was barely organized. At several points I had to pull out Google maps to guide us. This was probably worth closer to $20 instead of $78.

Jenny and Lisa showed around this amazing city, we got to try so many local delicacies that we wouldn't have otherwise come across without their local expertise. This tour is a great blend of local food, culture and art, along with some local history. You will learn about the history of Tainan, the food and the people, all while exploring this amazing city. Jenny also ensures you will see some temples and learn about local religious practices too. It's a fun way to spend a half day in Tainan, and if you are keen to explore this city, I would highly recommend taking one of Jenny's tours.

Mer is a very knowledgeable guide. Her pleasant demeanor along with her excellent English made the day fly by. The food I tasted was new to my palate and exceptionally delicious. Fresh, tasty bites. I would have never found any of these places on my own, especially the pineapple cake bakery. The bonus of the day was eating Japanese noodle soup in the lower level food court located next to the Kaohsiung train station.

We had absolutely the best time with our guide, Mer. First of all, we owe her all our gratitude, because there was a mixup with the booking site we used, Agoda, probably because we booked 24h in advance. Then there was a mixup on the meeting point. Mer easily could have given up on us, but she stuck around for 30 minutes tracking us down. Then she even stayed with us for an hour past the original end time. She went above and beyond for us. As for the tour itself, we learned a lot and ate a bunch of good food. We especially appreciated her getting us to try things we never would have tried on our own. And we enjoyed the little stories she told us. We absolutely recommend this tour.

This historical food tour was well worth the cost. My wife & I enjoy all the historical facts about Tainan’s West Central District (e.g., temples, food @ eateries.

We had a great time on our tour through Tainans Yongle Market and around some of it's important historic and modern cultural sites. Our guide Jenny provided excellent information, answered all our questions and showed us some great foodspots.
