Just massively impressive! You need an extra day if you really want to see each and every corner. Tip from the guide: if possible don’t bring a bag, handbag or backpack and put your stuff in your pockets instead. It saves a lot of queuing time at the security check.

The admission fee is cheap, and the whole experience makes me feel so proud about China's agriculture and history. Although it was a long walk, the lanes are easy to go and its literally the best place for photo-taking in Beijing. It's the only place that I can learn about China's history. Best recommended for solos, couples and friends.

not easy to find the entry point, then direct access from the turnstiles with your passport (you only need this, no ticket)

This was a fantastic experience. The tickets were our passports which made it really easy to not have to worry about finding our tickets. The directions that were given were perfect. It really made it easy to find the correct entrance that we needed which can be very confusing since it is a massive place. The information that was given was invaluable and made the experience that much easier. Overall a 5 star experience.

Mina was our tour guide today for the forbidden city tour and her knowledge was exceptional. That made it so much more interesting to learn about the temple and the history, and she was very friendly and inclusive. Would definitely recommend anyone to go with Mina fir anyone wishing to experience temple for a really thorough overview of what there is to see.

A trip to Beijing can be organized around three themes: "Classic Landmarks + Hutong Culture + Food Experience." A visit to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square is a must; book tickets in advance and avoid peak hours. For the Great Wall, Mutianyu is recommended for its beautiful scenery and fewer crowds. The hutong areas, such as Nanluoguxiang and Shichahai, are perfect for strolling, taking photos, and experiencing courtyard life. Don’t miss trying Peking Duck, hot pot, and local snacks. The subway is the most convenient way to get around. Note that winters are cold, springs can be windy, while autumn and spring offer the most comfortable weather.

Place to visit yes or yes!! Very nice the whole palace!! We went on December 24, there were quite a lot of people and groups, but it is so big the place that it doesn’t overwhelm at all. I would repeat without hesitation.
