Manchester Wine Tours are friendly, informal and fun wine-tasting events.
Each tour includes four of the best Manchester wine venues (bars, pubs, restaurants and shops).
Guests taste at least 6 different types of wine with high-quality snacks.
Your tour guide is a Manchester local, a qualified and experienced wine professional who can show you the art of wine tasting in a light-hearted, non-stuffy way.
Along the route, you will also stop at various points of interest, such as statues of notable characters in Manchester's history.
Tour groups are small with no more than 12 guests per event, which means they are friendly and intimate and everybody has the chance to ask questions and share their own insights.
This is a great way to see the city and enjoy its incredible food and drink scene. There are opportunities to buy wine to take home along the way, if you wish, but no pressure to do so.

What To Expect
Manchester
Tours vary from week to week but all take in various parts of Manchester city centre, different statues and points of interest as well as four locations to taste wine with snacks.
What‘s Included
You will taste at least five (and up to eight) different glasses of high quality wine. This equates to at least 2/3 of a bottle of wine in total per guest.
There is a different snack at each of the four venues. These might include Spanish croquetas, French cheese, mini corned beef hash, hash browns with taramasalata, oysters, falafels, nuts and so on.

5.00We had a fantastic time on Manchester Wine Tours! Kel is so knowledgeable and we learned an incredible amount about wine and its creation. We got to sample some great tasting wines and delicious snacks which complemented them perfectly at some lovely venues in Manchester. The atmosphere was really friendly and welcoming, everyone on the tour seemed to be very relaxed and enjoying themselves. Would highly recommend as a different way to experience the city and its culture!

5.00We were given this voucher by our kids as a Christmas present. Booking with Kel was easy and we were sent lots of information ahead of the tour. There were only four of us on the tour, ourselves and another couple who we got on great with which was a nice bonus. Kel was fantastic. Full of knowledge about the wines we tasted and the process of wine making in general. She took us to 4 different places each having it's individual qualities and in areas of Manchester we hadn't seen. Her knowledge of Manchester and the history was excellent and added to the overall experience. The wines we had were all excellent and Kel explained each one in detail along with tips on how to get the most tasting experience from each one. The accompanying snacks were really delicious, starting with an oyster which was spectacular and switched us back on to oysters which we will be getting again. Other snacks were a selection of cheeses and crackers. Specialist crisps with fabulous olives and finally mushroom croquettes. All delicious. We found Kel to be both knowledgeable and entertaining and had a fantastic afternoon. We would highly recommend the experience and in fact my brother and his wife are keen to book again with us in the future. Thank you Kel you were brilliant and we wish you great success in the future. Ian & Susan 😘

5.00We had such a brilliant afternoon with Kel as our guide on this tour. She was both really knowledgeable and entertaining and took us to fascinating venues we hadn’t been to, (despite having lived in Manchester for over 20 years!) and introduced us to a huge variety of different wines and grape varieties, in addition to teaching us about tasting notes and wine making practices around the world. Each wine was accompanied by a delicious ‘snack’ - carefully chosen to work well together. These included a tasty fried chicken with pickles, a modern take on a spanakopita, olives, focaccia and finally a delicious cheesy truffle croquette. It was a perfect birthday gift and I would wholeheartedly recommend it!

5.00I'm not normally one for leaving feedback, but have made an exception for this wine tour of Manchester city center as it was just great. The tickets were a Christmas present from family and I had not previously heard of this tour. Booking was easy, and there was plenty of communication from the tour guide Kel before the event providing details of what to expect/what to bring/where to meet etc. The tour itself was really enjoyable, with four lovely venues, from smart sophisticated bar through to lively market hall. Kel was a fantastic and knowledgeable guide, for both the wine and Manchester itself. The seven different wines that we drank during the day were a very nice mix with a planned pathway from sparkling white through to aged red, and the nibbles that we had at each venue were freshly prepared and extremely tasty. I will definitely do this tour again to see different venues and try other wines. TL:DR:- A+, would recommend.

5.00I received the wine tour voucher as a birthday present. It was a fantastic afternoon hosted by Kelly. She has a great knowledge and enthusiasm for wine and we could ask her questions as we went along. We visited 4 venues in total and the pace was set just right. All were lovely and very welcoming. All of the wines that we tasted were incredible and the food was good too. I would definitely recommend it as something to do in Manchester and we're definitely going to book again. It's well worth it. Thank you Kelly.

5.00This was our second time with Manchester Wine Tours and we loved it - Kel is a great host and only takes guests to the best and most interesting spots in Manchester City Centre for delicious wine and snacks. Even as locals living in town and visiting the venues ourselves, we learn or try something new. Will definitely be back for a third time :)

5.00Fab experience! Lived in Manchester all my life and visited places I didn’t know existed! (And some statues shamefully I’d never even noticed) Kel was very friendly personable and knowledgeable. Food and wine choices were excellent as were the venue choices, particularly liked the wine room in Sterling! Nice way to eat, drink chat, meet new people and find new places! Highly recommend !!
