Manchester Wine Tours are relaxed, friendly and informal wine-tasting events.

Each tour includes four of the best Manchester wine venues (bars, pubs, restaurants and shops).

Guests taste 5-8 different types of wine with small but high-quality snacks.

Your tour guide is a Manchester local, a knowledgeable wine professional who can show you the art of wine tasting in a fun, non-stuffy way.

Along the route, you will also stop at various points of interest such as statues of notable characters in Manchester's history.

Tour groups are small with no more than 12 guests per event, which means they are friendly and intimate and everybody has the chance to ask questions and share their own insights.

This is a great way to see the city and enjoy its incredible food and drink scene. There are opportunities to buy wine to take home along the way, if you wish, but no pressure to do so.

What To Expect

Manchester

Tours vary from week to week but all take in various parts of Manchester city centre, different statues and points of interest as well as four locations to taste wine with snacks.

What‘s Included

You will taste at least five (and up to eight) different glasses of high quality wine. This equates to at least 2/3 of a bottle of wine in total per guest.

There is a different snack at each of the four venues. These might include Spanish croquetas, French cheese, mini corned beef hash, hash browns with taramasalata, oysters, falafels, nuts and so on.

Fantastic tour, taking in a variety of venues and tasting some interesting, and very varied wines. Kel was great and gave us lots of information about the wines that we tasted. The snacks were great too.

What a wonderful discovery! Manchester Wine Tour with Kel gave me the opportunity to taste some very interesting wines during a pleasant stroll through the heart of the city. Kel guided me without too many frills or technicalities, thanks only to her extensive knowledge of the Manchester food scene.

We bought a gift voucher as a present for my sister-in-law's 50th birthday and booked to come along as a family day out. Kel was a fantastic host, not only introducing us to new wines but choosing delicious snacks to go with them. It was a brilliant mix of different bars (some gems we'll definitely go back to), walks in between stops with interesting landmarks and history and learning about wine. It was a really fun but interesting and unique tour which we'll definitely do again. My sister-in-law and the rest of the family loved it. Thanks Kel!

A fantastic tour! I went solo and met some lovely people as well as learning so much about wine and exploring new venues that even after 25 years in Manchester had not seen. Would highly reccomend this to everyone who wants to learn more about wine and Manchester. Jacks knowledge on wine was incredible. Thank you guys

A truly wonderful way to spend on a November afternoon. Kel was superb, knowledgeable in a very accessible way with a joy of wines she was happy to share. We visited some fabulous venues which all deserve a second visit. I highly recommend this tour

Fantastic way to spend an afternoon in Manchester. My friend and I have lived in Manchester most of our lives but Kel still managed to bring a new perspective on the city and brought a non pretentious slant on a wine tasting. Loves every minute of it and already planning the next one.

Loved this tour. What a delightful way to spend 4 hours. In between the delicious wine and wonderful independent bars, I managed to get lots of steps in which helped ease my conscience! Kel is friendly and knowledgable (without being pretentious) and our hosts in each bar were welcoming and passionate about what they do. Highly recommend.

We had a fabulous afternoon yesterday on this tour, starting at the Lincoln Statue learning some history & enjoying the culture of Manchester. Trying new venues & wines was delightful, the accompanying snacks delicious! I would highly recommend this wine tour, it combines the wines with a walking tour of Manchester seeing statues we had walked past without ever noticing them! A great afternoon!

Wonderful afternoon spent walking from one interesting bar/restaurant to another, sampling fantastic wines and eating lovely food. Kel, our host, was extremely knowledgeable and lots of fun. She herded us from one place to another with aplomb even taking us past interesting statues enroute, with a story about each. Great to go to new places in Manchester and see how vibrant the eating and wine scene can be.
