The flight is short, but it’s absolutely worth the money. Seeing the Franz Josef Glacier from the air gives you a proper sense of how big and powerful it really is — something you just don’t get from the ground. The glacier landing was unreal. Stepping onto untouched snow was a genuine highlight and made the whole experience feel special. The pilot was excellent — relaxed, informative, and pointed out the main features as we flew, plus took some great photos for us when we landed. If you’re worried about the cost, save money elsewhere. Pack your own breakfasts and lunches for a couple of days rather than paying for café food. This is the experience that’s worth spending on. Highly recommend.

OMG what a great experience! Our flight was cancelled a few times due to cloud cover however, we finally did it when the sun broke through. I have to say the whole crew at HeliServices were amazing from the ground team to the pilot. The views are stunning and to think in a few minutes you’re up in the snow. An absolute must if your in Frans Josef. Thank you all for the best experience ever!

That was INCREDIBLE! Dion was an awesome pilot and the experience was jaw dropping! My only regret is a didn’t book a longer one! I went for 30mins but I could have gone all day!

Fantastic experience the glacier is amazing and being able to land and get out really was the icing on the cake. Thanks to them for making it such a memorable experience and for helping us create wonderful memories. Great staff and impressive health and safety too.

It was great experience, we weren’t too sure about it but it was amazing, the stuff was super nice and the views and the helicopter experience was fantastic! For us the 20 min one was just right. I would clearly recommend it

I took my young son on this flight, and it was perfect for us. A 5 minute helicopter flight over Franz Josef glacier to a snow landing whilst observing the glacier. Snowballs were thrown and a small snow man built before flying back down the glacier. Amazing experience.

AWESOME is the one word I'd use to describe the flight. So many breathtaking photos and videos. Mind blowing vista. Best tour we took on the entire trip. Highly recommend.

From start to finish this experience was incredible! We went into the store and spoke to Dee who was lovely and so informative. She was able to book us onto a tour the following morning and answer all of our questions. We were then lucky enough to have her husband, Ken, as our pilot the next day! He was amazing and took some great photos of us too. Would definitely recommend!

This was an experience of a lifetime. All staff are highly professional and we received plenty of information about the glacier during the ride. Landing on the glacier was surreal and we were allowed a good amount of time to wander about. We booked the 9am flight and were lucky to have a perfectly still, cloudless day.
