What To Expect
Franz Josef
We leave the quiet town of Franz Josef, as we make our way towards the garden city of Christchurch. With a couple of stunning stops along the way you’ll be immersed in this tour with us.
Lake Ianthe is surrounded by hills and podocarp forests, with a large flax swamp at its southern end. The lake is home to a diverse array of wetland birds, including the endangered Great Crested Grebe, which has one of the largest populations in New Zealand.

5.00Loved this small group trip. The views were unreal (Hokitika Gorge for us was definitely a highlight), our guide was super friendly. It felt really personal and we never felt rushed—though I do wish the lunch stop had been a bit longer to explore. Overall, such a great way to see the West Coast.

5.00The driver Josh is extremely helpful when I just found out something goes wrong with my travel itinerary. He spend lot of time and try to find possible alternatives and make several calls. I really appreciate his great support. Other than that, we visited several nice spots, it is really nice and easy to get to those attractions.

5.00If you want to go along the West Coast of South Island, and you are not driving, this is the perfect tour. We combined the tour from Queenstown to Franz Josef with this one. The tour guide George was very professional, extremely helpful and nice.
