The tour ran smooth and without rushing. Our guide was very friendly and tried to give attention to each of us (we were a group of 8). Panoramic train delivered on everything and we took gorgeous photos.

This tour was stupendous! We started in Basel and took a train to Lucerne. Our guide explained the entire itinerary from the beginning and taught us how to navigate the Swiss train system. The city tour in Lucerne was awesome—we made several stops and even tried chocolate in a cozy shop. Then we took the panoramic train, spending almost two hours enjoying the most gorgeous scenery. We were lucky because it was sunny, and everything looked like a postcard. Our last stop was Interlaken, where we had some time to walk around and buy souvenirs. The total tour lasted 10 hours 🙂 Our guide, Julia, was smart and fun!

I really enjoyed the tour!. It’s a great way to see some of Switzerland’s beautiful scenery and visit two lovely cities in one day. The panoramic train ride was a highlight with nice views even if it was a foggy on the first part. Everything was well organized, comfortable, and easy to enjoy. Our guide answered all our questions and was very helpful and fun. I’d definitely recommend this tour if you want a relaxed and scenic day trip from Basel.

We had a fantastic experience on this tour, everything was stress free and we'll organized. Lucerne was charming with it's old town and the local swiss chocolate tasting added a special touch, the shop was really nice and historical. The panoramic train ride was smooth with nice landscapes, lakes and mountain peaks. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to see classic Swiss scenery in one day!

For the price paid, we expected a premium experience. We were disappointed that part of the panoramic railway was closed for repairs during our visit, meaning part of that leg (which should have been the highlight of the trip) was replaced by a bus. Initially we thought it was bad luck, but it transpired that it had been closed for months and the tour operator knew this at the time we booked, but didn’t tell us. When we complained about this afterwards, the response was along the lines of them not feeling the change was significant enough to warrant mentioning it. Look at the photos they offer for this trip, the majority are of the panoramic railway section, they know this is the key reason people book, so I’d take with a pinch of salt the response I assume they’ll give on this review about it not being that much of an impact on the day. In my opinion they are deliberately withholding important information to ensure customers aren’t scared away. Aside from that, the rest of the description was accurate, the trip was well organised, and it ran on time. Gabriel (our host) was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

I booked the From Basel: Premium Panoramic Train, Lucerne & Interlaken tour and honestly had such a great time. The whole day felt super smooth and well-organized. The panoramic train was definitely the highlight — the views of the mountains and lakes were insane, and having those big windows made everything feel extra special. Lucerne was beautiful as always. We had enough free time to walk around the old town, grab a coffee, and take photos by the Chapel Bridge without feeling rushed. Interlaken was also really cool to see — very touristy, but the scenery makes up for it. If you have good weather, it’s perfect for strolling around or just relaxing by the river. The guide was friendly and helpful, and it never felt like we were being pushed or hurried. It’s a long day, but super enjoyable and perfect if you want to see a lot without dealing with all the planning yourself. Totally recommend it if you’re staying in Basel and want to get a taste of the Swiss Alps in one day!

Our guide, Gabriel, was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable and gave us some great walking tours of Lucern and Interlaken. He was really friendly and chatted with everyone in the group and made sure everyone was keeping up. The scenery itself was so beautiful. We really enjoyed getting to see Switzerland’s landscapes and towns. It was something we will never forget.

I loved this tour! We did so many things in just one day. We went to Lucerne where we spent two hours visiting historical highlights and had our lunch time there. Then we took the panoramic train and the landscapes were just breathtaking. The last stop was in Interlaken where we had privileged view of the Jungfraujoch region and some time to buy souvenirs. My guide Marcela was very smart and kind. Highly recommend it
