It’s hard to believe that it has already been two years since I first met my guide, Alessandro, and discovered, through his expertise, the breathtaking beauty of the Dolomites—truly one of the best experiences of my life. I don’t even know how I first came across him, but reaching out was one of the greatest choices I’ve ever made. He opened a world to me that will always remain close to my heart, and for that, I am deeply grateful. In 2024, we explored the western side of the Dolomites, and in 2025, the eastern side—and both journeys were simply unforgettable. Each time, Alessondro's deep knowledge, genuine care, and ability to tailor the trip to my personal interests made every moment feel special, comforting, and uplifting. From stunning mountain passes to peaceful lakeside stops, every detail was thoughtfully planned and effortlessly executed. If you want to truly experience the Dolomites rather than just see them, I cannot recommend Alessandro highly enough. These trips have given me memories I will treasure for a lifetime.

Alessandro is a knowledgeable and patient guide. He was able to field a variety of question from our party re: history, language, and culture. He is incredibly familiar with the Dolomites and can very effectively advise as to time and travel requirements at different seasons or times of day. He is flexible and accommodating to reasonable deviations to proposed itineraries (and he made sure we made it to Bolzano in time for our Vögele reservation). A clean van with cool A/C provided for a comfortable trip, and a great guide provided for unforgettable memories of some of the most beautiful sites I’ve ever experienced. I hope to one day return and complete the Western Dolomites. Perhaps I’ll have learned enough Italian to have read and discuss I Prossime Spossi.

We can’t say enough good things about our tour with Alessandro in the dolomites. He did an exceptional job showing us this magnificent part of northern Italy. It was not easy for him that day because the weather was a bit rainy, so some sites were not as visible as we all would’ve liked. But he made up for this with all of his interesting stories, Friendly personality, beautiful towns, and magnificent lakes. It was also easy to reserve the trip with him online, and our correspondence was excellent.

We recently enjoyed a full day excursion from Bolzano up into the magnificent Dolomites. Our guide & driver Alessandro Scacchetti collected us at our front door at 8.30am and delivered us safely back after 5.00 pm. He tailored the tour to suit the changing weather of the day and in doing so we were blessed with some extraordinary views. Alessandro is passionate and knowledgeable and a local of Bolzano and we were privileged to be in his company. We highly recommend Alessandro and the excellent service he provides.

Bolzano must be one of the most under rated places in Italy as a tourist destination. It is the listed as the gateway to the Dolomites and certainly lives up to that tag. The town is enchanting and is a natural hub to all the Dolomites have to offer. Bus system is great and enables visits to nearby destinations with ease. There is plenty to see and do - I am talking about hiking and sight seeing v skiing. Plenty to do.

My tour guide, Alex, is fantastic. His travel plan is well executed. He patiently explains to us different scenes. We even talk about a bit history, culture and Italian opera. We very much enjoy this daily trip!

I have travelled to many countries and the Dolomites area probably has one of the most awesome sceneries.

The city is cute! There is a street market with local foods and it is also surrounded by the Dolomites. It was a very pleasant experience.

The tour was gorgeous, mountains and lakes and valleys are breath taking. Beyond that though, Alessandro is an excellent guide and extremely accommodating. His flexibility and guidance during the tour was welcome given the inclement weather, which he was very on top of. He helped us make decisions based on which stops would be best when due to visibility and rain. Additionally he was open to doing the trip in reverse due to where we were staying which made our entire trip much easier. Extremely pleasant, very informative/knowledgable about the history of the area, and a great driver as well. Highly recommend!
