Sainte-Mere-Eglise
Place that holds a special place in history as one of the first towns liberated during D-Day in World War II. Known for its iconic church, visitors are captivated by the story of paratrooper John Steele, whose parachute became entangled on the church steeple during the Allied invasion. We will stop at a local bakery there for you to pick up food, but you are welcome to bring your own meal, especially if you have specific dietary needs or restrictions

A large part of this incredible experience was because of our tour guide, Lawrence. He is a gem and Viator should be proud that he is working with them. 5.00Very worthwhile tour of Normandy covering all the important WWII sites. Lawrence, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and interesting throughout the tour. Also, Viator did a great job communicating with from start to finish, ensuring we would get back to our ship on time. Overall, well with the money for what is a bucket list trip for most people.
