Dubrovnik City Walls
The Old City Walls of Dubrovnik are a remarkable medieval fortification encircling the historic core of the city in Croatia. Built primarily between the 12th and 17th centuries, these massive stone walls stretch for about 2 kilometers and rise up to 25 meters in height. Dotted with imposing towers, bastions, and gates, the walls offer breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea and the terracotta rooftops of Dubrovnik’s Old Town. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, they stand as a testament to the city’s rich history and resilience, attracting visitors from around the globe.
Lovrjenac Fortress
The Lovrijenac Fortress, often called the "Fortress of St. Lawrence," is a dramatic and iconic stronghold located on a 37-meter-high cliff overlooking the Adriatic Sea and the Old Town of Dubrovnik, Croatia. Constructed in the 11th century, it played a vital role in defending the city from both land and sea invasions. Renowned for its thick stone walls and commanding position, the fortress carries the inscription Non Bene Pro Toto Libertas Venditur Auro ("Freedom is not to be sold for all the gold in the world"). Today, it is a must-visit landmark, offering breathtaking views and serving as a venue for cultural events, such as the Dubrovnik Summer Festival

It is a small tour boat, with a young and enthusiastic guide. The trio gives you 2h on Lokrum Island (could be longer) to see peachicks and the "dead sea". Then back to the mainland for 1h on a beach, and fir the brave, a snorkeling stop offshore (or stay on board and chat).

Lokrum island had much more on it than I had expected. Trees helped shade us as we walked through the various paths. Wonderful to see the old buildings and gardens. We thought two hours was going to be too much time but we did end up stopping near the end for beverages. The beach stop was great and gave us some much needed beach time. Could have probably used just a little more - perhaps another half hour. Nela - was awesome. Very enthusiastic!

This was the best day. Lovely skipper and guide. Free quality drinks and every stop was pure bliss. Lots of fish at the caves, the island was stunning, the beach was lovely - we may even book again tomorrow as it's literally the perfect way to escape the heat and see the best of Croatia 🇭🇷 😀

We had a great time, but we were gutted not to be able to go to the last beach due to a change in weather conditions. The woman facilitating the trip was lovely though and kept us informed and got us safely back to cavtat on an alternative boat
