Giovanny was helpful. Overall I would not recommend this trip because the bus was a HOT box and they don’t even put on any air conditioning! This was a glorified shuttle service.

We had an amazing tour with Giovanni! He was incredibly helpful from start to finish. His instructions were clear and very easy to follow. Our trip to the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the islands went smoothly without any issues. Giovanni even made sure we had comfortable seats for all of our train rides.

The trip was extremely well organised and communication with City Wonders was brilliant from the moment we booked. They have their own app which allows you to find out more information about the trip and meeting points before you go. The day itself is a long day, with the trip starting at seven and the return to Florence after 7 o’clock in the evening; however, this still may not be enough time to fully explore all of the areas that we visited. Our tour guides on the day were Elizabeth and Nathan, both of whom were friendly and welcoming and able to share their experiences of living in the region and other historical facts with humour throughout the day. A nice added bonus, was when Nathan used his past experience as a photographer to give a brief lesson on how we could take better photos using our phones. This was gratefully received, seeing as we were visiting some of the most picturesque area of Italy as well as the iconic leaning tower of Pisa. Communication throughout the day was extremely clear with WhatsApp messages being sent so that everyone was aware of the location and times of meeting points and departure times be on the trains or on the coach neither of our guides could have done more to inform us throughout the day. This was a trip that left us truly satisfied and was a highlight of our stay in Florence. The only downside came when we were about to leave Pisa. We had been told more than once verbally and via WhatsApp messages about the departure time. However, a very small number of our tour group were not there on Time which meant that we had to wait for them before our return journey to Florence. Elizabeth wanted to leave without the late cover as she shot she said that this showed a lack of respect towards her, Nathan, and the rest of the group. This was a decision that we agreed with. Unfortunately, Nathan overruled her on this occasion meaning that we had to wait and we were delayed in our return back to Florence. This is something that I feel the company should address in future, and if people are not able to get to the meeting points on time then they should be left behind so that the rest of the group does not have to suffer for their selfishness. Overall, it was an incredible day and I would wholeheartedly recommend that anyone visiting Florence takes the time to have this excursion as well.

Wonderful trip! Enjoyed the aircon bus to our destination. Excellent organization and instruction and knowledge along the way. Train ride to first stop was easy. Train ride to the next stop was also easy. We opted for the lunch and knew it would be a quick way to enjoy good food at a good price. Pesto was delicious. We did not want to chill on the beach so we went backwards with our train ticket to another town called Montarola which was well worth the quick visit. We walked the loop and then thanks to our guides great instruction, we met up with the group again on the train headed back to the main station. Pisa was very fun and again we felt very organized and helpful. We bought tickets to climb to the top of the tower. Our guide helped us add that on at the ticket booking place. Very fun going up 200 steps for the views and feeling the crooked tower. Ride back to Florence was easy and we made it back safely. Thank you to our Queen Elisabeth guide and driver Mattia for a safe, fun, and knowledgeable day with zero stress and lots of great pictures!! If you take this trip, there are a few Indian men who will take your picture with you doing fun poses phone for 5 euros. We had fun with this but you need to be safe. So watch how other people find these type of people and see how it works. Parably not recommended but we had no problems and he took much better fun Instagram worthy pics then we ever could! We had no issue with pick pocket people but there were some sketchy Haitians and Nigerians who wanted to gift us bracelets and umbrellas. Walk away and say no. Overall, a fun trip!! Thank you again, Elizabeth and Mattie (who you can buy water from on the bus for 1 euro).
