What To Expect
Florence
Sit back and relax as we take a 2.5 hour ride via comfortable, air-conditioned coach. Your guide will entertain you with tales of the area as you cross two regions: Tuscany and Liguria. Both are rich with history, cultures and traditions that deserve to be told. Upon arrival, you’ll be escorted to a quaint and comfortable local train. Enjoy the journey along the coast line, breathing in the fresh sea air and admiring a view like no other.

Then it is “all aboard!” as you are taken by train to the charming town of Manarola, characterized by its narrow streets and small square looking out over the sea. It is so picturesque it will seem like you’ve stepped into a Renaissance painting. But it is entirely authentic, we assure you. If you want to make the most out of this Cinque Terre experience, we also offer an optional walk, for those who want to see the stunning mainland and coastline scenery from a different perspective. Let your tour leader guide you through the terraced vineyards, the ancient olive groves and the spectacular panoramic views that will stay in your memories forever.

5.00Ornella and Marco did a fantastic job! We enjoyed each stop, with beautiful scenery. The lunch at Cinque Terre was delicious. Highly recommend it! When attending Pisa, make sure to visit the beautiful church. We had a couple people on our tour with some limited mobility. Ornella took the care the call out alternative options at each stop if unable to make the walk. She took care of us all so well.

5.00Very well organized tour by this travel agent. She knows very well whats she's doing. From the train rides to the last minute schedules. She even knows and check us from the pickpocketers on the train. She's very well concerned with all her guests. Very nice double decker bus too.
Rain in Cinque Terre? No problem — we laughed, we climbed, we leaned (mostly just the tower). Grazie, City Wonders!

5.00Cinque Terre & Pisa Day Trip from Florence with City Wonders Date: Oct 31 Trick-or-Treat Guide: Elizabetta | Driver: Dragos Even though Mother Nature clearly hadn’t checked the weather forecast, this trip turned out to be an absolute gem! Our guide Elizabetta ran the show like a pro — clear, organized, and impressively calm while shepherding a busload of caffeine-fueled travelers through Tuscany and Liguria. She made sure we all knew where to be, when to be there, and how not to end up in Switzerland by accident. Manarola was postcard-perfect, even under gray skies, and Monterosso gave us time to enjoy the local flavors (and maybe a gelato or two) before we wandered down Fegina Beach pretending we were in a Riviera magazine spread. The day wrapped up in Pisa, where we admired the Leaning Tower — which, in fairness, leans just the right amount for great selfies. And let’s not forget Dragos, our driver, who deserves a medal for navigating those winding roads with the grace of a ballet dancer driving a 50-seat bus. All in all, City Wonders delivered a safe, smooth, and laughter-filled day — rain or shine, definitely a five-star TREAT adventure!

5.00Beautiful villages. Everything is well organized and we keep a lot of freedom so the group is not heavy. We had enough time to enjoy each place. Guide Ornella and driver Dragos were perfect. The price is largely justified.

5.00Cinque Terre is beautiful and worth the time to go see when in the area. Even on a cloudy day the shoreline, cliffs and beaches were stunning. The tower, well, it leans! Daniele did a wonderful job leading our tour group, communicating, navigating the buses, trains, and stops as well as keeping us safe, on time and making recommendations. GREAT JOB DANIELE!!!
