BaiLong Elevator
First, head to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. We'll take a bus or drive to the park entrance, which is about a 40 - minute journey from the city center. Once inside, we'll make our way to the Yuanjiajie area. To reach Yuanjiajie, we'll take the Bailong Elevator, an absolute marvel that has rightfully earned its title as the world’s fastest elevator. Standing at a staggering vertical height of 326 meters, it rockets you up the cliff face in a mere 1 minute and 58 seconds. As you ascend, the view unfolds in a spectacular manner. Initially, the elevator rides within a shaft, but in a few seconds, the doors open to a breathtaking panorama. Towering sandstone pillars, like nature's own skyscrapers, stand tall on all sides, seemingly defying gravity. These unique karst formations, crafted over millions of years by the ceaseless forces of erosion, create a sight that is both otherworldly and awe - inspiring.
Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Scenic Area
Yuanjiajie, the inspiration behind Avatar’s floating mountains, is a wonderland of natural beauty. Here, the towering sandstone pillars seem to have been plucked from a fantasy world. The Hallelujah Mountain, also known as the South Pillar of Heaven, stands as a majestic symbol of this place. Its impressive height and unique shape make it the focal point of the area, and it's easy to see why it was the main inspiration for the floating mountains in the movie Avatar. Another highlight is the First Natural Bridge in the World. This natural wonder is a thick slab of rock that defies the odds, spanning across two cliffs to create a bridge high above the valley below. Tianzi Mountain
After exploring Yuanjiajie, continue your adventure to Tianzi Mountain. During the ride on the Tianzi Mountain Cableway for a panoramic view above the forest canopy, your guide will identify the different formations and tell you ancient folk stories related to the mountains. Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park
Today, we'll head to Tianmen Mountain. It takes around 30 minutes to reach the mountain from the city center by car. We'll start by taking the planet’s longest cable car up Tianmen Mountain. The cable car ride is an adventure in itself, lasting about 30 minutes. As you ascend, you're treated to a 360 - degree view of the city, the surrounding mountains, and the deep valleys below. It's like a slow - moving aerial tour, allowing you to soak in the beauty of Zhangjiajie from a unique perspective. Once at the top, we'll begin exploring the thrilling cliffside walkways. These walkways, built along the very edge of the cliffs, offer heart - stopping views. Looking down, you see a vertical drop that makes your stomach churn, while looking out, you're greeted with a vast expanse of mountains and forests that seem to stretch on forever. The sense of danger and the beauty of the landscape combine to create a truly exhilarating experience.
Zhangjiajie National Forest Park
Then, we'll marvel at the awe - inspiring Tianmen Cave. This natural wonder is a colossal cave that slices through the mountain. Standing at 131.5 meters high, 57 meters wide, and 60 meters deep, it's a sight that leaves you speechless. According to legend, the cave was formed when the mountain split open during an earthquake in 263 AD. To reach the cave, you can choose to take the escalator or challenge yourself by climbing the steep “Heaven’s Ladder” with 999 steps. Standing in front of the cave, you can feel the power of nature and the sense of history that permeates the place. The wind blowing through the cave, the sunlight filtering in, and the sheer scale of the formation all contribute to an experience that is both humbling and inspiring.

Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge
The highlights of today is to experience the Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge, which is considered as the highest and longest glass bridge in the world. 375 meters in length and 6 meters wide, this bridge is suspended 300 meters above the ground. Challenge yourself to cross the bridge which will left you a great memory. After the tour finished, you can choose to finish your tour in Zhangjiajie, or your tour guide will drop you off at Zhangjiajie airport for your plane trip to next stop(Shanghai, Xi'an or Beijing)
