Soren was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. His ability to respond to questions off the cuff was amazing. We had a thoroughly enjoyable tour and he was particularly respectful of my father’s limitations with mobility. Will be recommending him to friends who are planning to visit Ypers later in the year.

Souren provided a tour that was packed with detail and stories. Learned things that did not know before despite having done some research in advance. The tour was well paced - highlighting well known and lesser known locations. Souren was knowledgeable, entertaining, respectful and engaging. Given the scale of the destruction and devastation, the tour managed to be respectful while also being engaging.

Our time in Ypres unfortunately was short and Sabine accommodated us to start 30 minutes early. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the area. We had a better understanding of the strategies from seeing the maps and terrain.

Soren contacted us a couple weeks before the tour to ask if we had any ancestors who had fought around Ieper so he could personalize the tour. He picked us up at our hotel in a nice car stocked with bottled water. We stopped at the Menin Gate, Tyne Cot Cemetery, Brooding Soldier Canadian Memorial (site of the first gas attack), German Cemetery, and the Essex Farm Cemetery where McCrae wrote In Flanders Fields. It was mind boggling the number of casualties in just a few miles. Soren did a great job and I would highly recommend the tour.

Fantastic 5 hour guided tour from Soren. He tailored it to our specific interests and was very knowledgeable about the sites visited. He went 20km out of his way to visit a grave of a relative, even though this entailed an extra hour of his time. Highly recommended. Many thanks.

So glad my wife and I booked this tour. My Grandpa fought here in the first world war hence the reason for our visit. Søren was brilliant, picked us up from our motorhome site and provided an excellent experience, his knowledge is exceptional and a lovely guy. If your thinking about booking cannot recommend highly enough.

We greatly enjoyed our IEPER Tour of the Ypres Battlefield. Soren was an excellent guide, whose knowledge of WWI history was very impressive. His evident enthusiasm for the subject also came across strongly. We were a mixed group, varying in age, and Soren answered all our questions patiently and clearly with humour. He described the events of the battles both within the context of the overall history of WWI and from the perspective of the individual soldiers and civilians involved. The tour started at the Menin Gate and finished at Essex Farm, where John Macrae worked as a surgeon. During the tour, we also visited Sanctuary Wood, Tyne Cot, the German cemetery at Langemark, and the Canadian Memorial at St Julien. As we travelled around, Soren provided maps and explained how the Flanders landscape affected the course of the battles. We thoroughly recommend this tour

A great tour around the Ypres Battlefield with Soran today! Learnt so much on the tour and got to appreciate the Ypres Battlefield and the challenges faced by the soldiers and the people of this lovely region in Belgium. We all enjoyed it immensely!

The guide requested the service record of our grandfather so he could ensure that we visited relevant battlefields. Pick up from our accommodation in Ypres was on time. Transported in comfort in a hybrid suv. We received a good verbal background of each area, and their relevance. Our guide used visual aids such as maps and photos to ensure we understood what had occurred in each area. We had plenty of time at each stop which was appreciated. At no time were we hurried. An added bonus was that he suggested a supermarket to pick up freshly made sandwiches for the train trip back to Paris.
