Tour guide was late and Deauville was disappointing

2.00The tour guide was almost a half an hour late so we had to wait for him to show up. It was a rainy day and Deauville is meant to be a beach stop. If the weather was nice, I suppose the stop would have been worth it. The city really didn't have much worth looking at except high-end stores that most people can't afford. Some places won't serve you a drink without having your passport, especially the casino. A driver's license wasn't accepted. Honfleur was worth seeing. It's a nice city that is very picturesque with many cafes and shops. It is hard to say if my rating would change if the weather was better that day.

2.00Got outside by 8:45am for our 9:30 tour. So unorganized it wasn’t funny. Then our tour guide showed up at 10:00 am. 30 minutes late and used the traffic as an excuse. Worst so called guide we’ve had. About 10 minutes in Deauville and 20 minutes in Honfleur. Then free time on our own. Very nice towns tho! Although Deauville was extremely expensive because that’s where all the Rich people live we were told. The cost of the tour was also only about $95.00 each on Viator at time of the tour. But we paid $270.00 months ago and were told they couldn’t refund the difference and we were unable to cancel and rebook it because it was showing it was sold out. But there were tons of open seats on the bus. Poor Business Practice.

3.00I think this tour would have been better if the tour guide had headsets for the participants to wear. The towns were nice to visit but I didn't get much out of it once we departed the bus since I couldn't hear what the guide was saying.
