Cute towns but not enough free time in Honfleur

Deauville and Honfleur (especially Honfleur) are charming places to explore. Our guide was quite knowledgeable and organized. However, we’d have appreciated more time to explore on our own and less structure. Lunch was not included, so we found it confusing to be taken as a group to a relatively expensive restaurant. Many fellow travelers got up and left after realizing the cost. We can give kudos to the French onion soup there, though. Guides should make it clear that the restaurant is optional.

The tour was truly delightful! It started with a seamless pickup at the port and ended with sightseeing in Deauville. We had a great time! Both Honfleur and Deauville have their own small-town charm. We loved the colorful houses in Honfleur and enjoyed the shopping opportunities during our sightseeing in Deauville.

Personally, I’m not a fan of crowded places when sightseeing. So, if you prefer to avoid big capital cities during your travels, Honfleur and Deauville is perfect for you. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and its peaceful, charming atmosphere.
