Very good excursion. We were able to shop and eat lunch in Honfluer for several hours. It's a quaint little town with plenty of stores and restaurants. I would highly recommend this tour of you're ever in Le Havre France.

This was a perfect tour to sample some of France’s towns outside of Paris. I wasn’t prepared to travel 2.5 hours to get to Paris and it certainly was the right choice. Deauville and honfleur were the most beautiful towns that I been to, so quintessentially France. Our guide Mathew gave us a little orientation and then free time to explore by ourselves. It was the perfect tour.

This was a really good tour. The bus picked us up at the cruise port. It was a pretty long walk out to where the busses pick up passengers. The guides were very helpful and knowledgeable. First we went to Deauville and had a little time to walk around the town. The town is very posh with fancy stores. It was a nice town but not much was opened. Then we went just across the river to Trouville. Trouville was a much better stop. It was a beautiful French town. There were lots of cafes and boulangeries. There was a large fish market. There was also a large farmers market. The town was very walkable. It was a good place to get a snack and see the ocean (English Channel). Much more enjoyable town than Deauville. Next we went to Honfleur. It's a beautiful town at the mouth of the Seine. We had plenty of time in Honfleur to walk around, get a meal or snack and shop for souvenirs. It's a toss up which town was better Honfleur or Touville. Both very beautiful. Very walkable. Lots of cafes and restaurants. Very doable trip from the cruise ship port.

  • Cute towns but not enough free time in Honfleur

Deauville and Honfleur (especially Honfleur) are charming places to explore. Our guide was quite knowledgeable and organized. However, we’d have appreciated more time to explore on our own and less structure. Lunch was not included, so we found it confusing to be taken as a group to a relatively expensive restaurant. Many fellow travelers got up and left after realizing the cost. We can give kudos to the French onion soup there, though. Guides should make it clear that the restaurant is optional.
