Didn’t get to snorkel at all because of the weather not really their fault. But I guess the boat ride was okay

It was very windy so it was disappointing that we didn’t get to go to Molikini. The coral gardens were nice but we had already snorkeled in a coral area and saw many of the same sea life. But I would still recommend the trip.

Couldn’t go to Molokini because it was “too far away with the waves / wind” so we went to Coral Gardens where we saw a total of 20 fish (all black basic fish). I’d suggest skipping this and just find your own coral on almost any beach on Maui and you’ll see way more for free.

Unfortunately, this snorkeling tour did not meet our expectations. We were taken to a reef very close to the shoreline and the road. There were very few fish, and the underwater scenery was quite ordinary. It definitely did not feel like a “coral garden” or an underwater aquarium as it was described. In fact, we saw similar reefs and marine life directly from the beach near our hotel. Yes, it was nice to have the opportunity to swim in the open ocean under the supervision of the crew, and that part felt safe and enjoyable. However, that was probably the only highlight of the trip. If you are booking this afternoon snorkeling tour hoping to visit Molokini, don’t count on it. Based on our experience, the chance of actually going to Molokini seems close to zero. The captain and crew were friendly, welcoming, and professional throughout the trip, which is the reason I am giving an extra star. Overall, the experience was underwhelming, and it is not something we would choose to repeat.

The excursion was fun and the crew was very nice. We were not notified that we would not be visiting Molokini due to the weather IN ADVANCE. We were taking to another place near the coast called Coral Garden with terrible visibility which was not very impressive. We had better snorkling experience near our hotel. We would have appreciated early notification, so that we could reschedule or plan another options.

The boat was really crowded and uncomfortable. The snorkeling was just ok. I would not do it again.

You are not guaranteed to go to Molokini and they will not tell you until you’re not there! The guys on the boat were fantastic and the service was excellent. Very safe.

The name of the activity has Molokini OR Crystal Gardens. We didn’t go to Molokini which is where we wanted to go, I guess I should have paid more attention to the name of the activity and asked more questions. The argument was too much wind for Molokini, and there was wind, but be aware that the alternative location is not good, there are not a lot of fish and there are other boats snorkeling at the same location so you bump into people all the time. Our boat was very crowded too so you either have to be exposed to the sun the whole time or if you were lucky to get on the boat first you could grab a seat under the shade. The crew is great, very friendly and caring.
