Enjoy this 2-hour guided adventure on a double-deck power catamaran to watch the whales in their natural habitat. Depending on the whales’ behavior during your whale watching trip, you may see the whales slapping the surface with pectoral fins (their very long side fins), flukes (the tail), the peduncle (the strong muscles attaching the tail to the rest of the body) and the breach, this is when the whale rises completely out of the water and crashes down again.

I can't share our experience because our whale watching was canceled due to the storms and flooding on Maui.

Basic but fun cruise. Affordable and saw whales. Good size boat can handle a bit of rough water. Leaves from harbor. Conveniently but paid parking.

The experience was great! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The boat was clean and the ride was smooth despite the weather. We got see multiple whales including on that breached close to our boat. This was an amazing time!

"If you are visiting Maui,a whale watching tour with Quicksilver Whale watching tour is a must-do. Our boat Captain was amazing finding whales. Our guide was a marine naturalist , making the experience both fun and educational for the kids. We saw several humpback whales, including a mother and her active calf showing off their pectoral fins & tail slapping. They use a great 'clock system' (12:00 for the front of the boat) to help everyone get a view. The boat was comfortable, clean, and provided great photo opportunities".

Nothing like the pics they they advertise. Whales are far away and without binoculars very difficult to see, just little grey blobs in the water. The best part was when they turned the engine off and the underwater speakers on so you could hear them. Would not waste my money or time on it again. The photo package they offer you s outrageous, $35 a pic or $75 for about 4 - 5 pics of you and your family or friends, no whales. I know they can’t control the whales, but they advertise the whales next to the boat out of the water and people reaching to touch them. Very misleading.

We were the last boat out in the 8 am time slot, so it seemed like we had to "fit in" with earlier boats already in position near the whales. Otherwise, everything went just about perfectly. The Captain's commentary was well-informed and interesting. The crew was friendly and attentive. The water was glassy and there was no rain despite the severe Kona storms that were throttling Maui at the time (morning usually is the best time to go, I think).

2 hours; drinks and snacks (chips) only) crew were awesome. Great price. Even though it was cloudy we saw a good amount of whales.

We saw some whales very very far away. They tried to get close to whales but , no luck. We waited and followed some time and waited and so on.
