Tour guide, Josephine, did an outstanding job. Friendly, knowledgeable, easy to laugh, engaging. The driver, whose name I can’t recall was exceptional in driving in narrow roads. Very personable.

Really good way to see a lot in one day. Short visit to Como and then lunch in Bellagio on Lake Como with a boat ride. Then Lugano, Switzerland for an hour and a half. Would have enjoyed more time in Bellagio vs Como, but this tour gives you a taste of each place. Next time we go we will just stay in Bellagio for a night or two. Oscar our bus driver was a top pro!!

I am probably one of the few that did not recommend this trip, but I think it's important for future customers to know this as they may have other options. This tour is held by Wander In Italy. Let's start with something great - their customer service Ms. Shami - she has demonstrated excellent communication and problem solving skills. She is highly approachable and responsible - immediately offers potential solutions and actively reaches out back. Wander In Italy is very lucky to have her. [If you have limited time, here you go]: I was left out in the meeting spot. The main issue is the guide and the guy who checked us in did not do head counts, and did not offer clear instructions. This was very unpleasant to customers; also greatly took the joy away from the trip. Wander In Italy really need to think how to solve this issue - there is a very simple solution: make a big flat and have your guide hold it. That's it. If you have time for more details, here you go: the time to meet was 8:45am, and I arrived at 8:30am. First of all, there was no clear sign of Wander In Italy. All people can do it to check around the big square - eventually I needed to call in, speaking with Shami and figure out exactly where that is. A guy (let's named him Mr. X as I don't know his name) checked me in, and that's where the issue all began - he randomly asked me to wait among the crowd (on retrospective inspection, after I was left out, those crowds were customers from different companies). Our tour guide (at that time, I did not know if he was a bus driver or the tour guide; I would not reveal his name here) was chatting with a group EXCESSIVELY for >10 minutes - any normal person would think the group he was chatting with belongs to the tour. Later a bus came, I started to line up naturally with the group - Mr. X walked by, and I asked him whether this is the bus, and HE SAID YES, and that's what caused me lining up in the wrong lines and missed the tour bus. I ended up needing Shami's help to get on a train by myself and meet them in a station (hence missed my first tour spot around Como S Giovanni). Overall, I see this whole issue as very unprofessional: 1) as a tour guide, how could you spend time chatting with people non-relevant to your job, and when it comes to your real customer, you did not even do a head count when leaving the spot? I have joined numerous tours, and this is the first time I saw so. 2) as a person who checked people in (Mr. X), how could you randomly ask your customer to mix with other group without a clear instruction? Of course then you will miss your customers without identifying them. But even more concerning, how can you tell your customer the wrong bus to wait? And guess what - that's because you didn't recognize me as your customer after checking me in, because you didn't have a systemic way to categorize people - not even a flag. Lake Como is beautiful, but tour itself is actually pretty ordinary - well, it contains what it claims, including a private boat. However, I don't get why we spent our time on walking in Bellaio and Lugano, but not the real attraction, Como? Consiering all the drama, I would recommend people either do self-guide tour or join another company.
