What To Expect
Begin your journey towards your first destination: Hirugano Plataeu. We will arrive at the flower park and farm high in the Hida Highlands. Your guide will provide you with a brief overview of the park and all its attractions before you set off on your own. You can use this time as you please to pose for photos amongst the seasonal flowers, feed the farm animals, taste locally made ice cream and other treats, or simply relax while enjoying the sweeping views.
Kamikochi
Meet back up with your tour guide and make your way to the Kamikochi. Your guide will lead you on a trek through the scenic mountain pass of Kamikochi towards Kappa-bashi—stopping to point out unique flora and fauna along the way. Once we reach Kappa-bashi, you will have approximately 1 hour of free time to get some food, shop for souvenirs, or continue trekking and exploring the area on your own. at 16:00 we will board back on the bus and make our way back to Nagoya Station

5.00We had a wonderful time visiting Kamikchi! We scheduled to come towards the end of the season and encountered rain and snow! Our tour guide Kim was very knowledgeable and friendly, providing many insights about the region and kept the ride interesting and fun. Our driver Iwasaki-san was very friendly and safe while driving in rainy conditions. The tour was well paced and I would recommend it for anyone curious about the Japanese Alps.

5.00We joined the Kamikochi guided hike from Nagoya and had a wonderful experience. The transportation was smooth and comfortable, and our guide, Aemir, was friendly, knowledgeable, and kept the schedule relaxed and enjoyable. The scenery in Kamikochi was stunning even in November — clear rivers, fresh air, and peaceful mountain views. One of the highlights was also visiting a beautiful flower park and farm on the Hirugano Plateau. We loved seeing the alpacas, horses, goats, and sheep up close. We were able to feed some of them, stroll through the garden, and enjoy the open nature. The whole day felt well-paced, unhurried, and refreshing — a good balance between nature walking and relaxing in a quiet countryside setting. Highly recommended for anyone looking to escape the city and enjoy Japan’s natural landscapes. We would love to return in another season to see how the scenery changes.

5.00My sister and I had a great time with our guide Kim and driver! We loved the highland farm Bokka no Sato and had great walk through Kamikochi, we even saw monkeys! Kim was very friendly, helpful and had a wealth of knowledge about Japanese history and mythology. Our driver was very friendly and a great, safe driver. We had a very comfortable ride to and from Kamikochi. Thank you both for a great day! We will be sure to book again with Snow Monkey :)

5.00I thoroughly enjoyed this tour to Kamikochi with Snow Monkey Resorts. The Chubu Sangaku National Park offers spectacular alpine scenery surrounded by crystal-clear waters. I highly recommend Snow Monkey Resorts for their small group sizes, comfortable and safe vehicles, and English-fluent tour guides like Kim and Nadine, who provided excellent information throughout the journey. Unlike other tours that merely offer transportation, their guides actively walk along the paths with you, enriching the experience. Special thanks to Iwasaki-San for his safe driving!
