Cruise passengers should provide their ship’s name to guarantee a timely return to port, making this day a perfect blend of history, culture, and stunning coastal scenery.

5.00Alessandro C and Salvatore, our guides, were fantastic. They were funny, knowledgeable and flexible with people’s needs. Biaggio, our driver, navigated the narrow winding roads so deftly. Definitely do the optional boat tour in Amalfi (€15 per person) - it was a highlight.

5.00This was one of the best excursions we experienced in Europe. World tours picked us up at the cruise terminal. We had a small group of eight, which we enjoyed mose than the bus tours. Our guide Rafaela was very good, informative. The tour included the Amalfi Coast. The drive itself was beautiful, and we stopped for a couple of hours in town. Rafaela drove us from Amalfi to the Pompeii Ruins for the afternoon. I highly recommend this tour.

3.00We booked this Amalfi Coast and Pompeii tour through Viator while sailing on Odyssey of the Seas, and overall we’re glad we did, but there are some trade-offs you should know. The good: First, the price was much more reasonable than comparable excursions through Royal Caribbean. That alone made it worth considering. Second, the group size was a huge plus. There were only six of us total, which made it feel much more personal compared to the big bus tours. And our driver was great. Friendly, informative, and made the experience enjoyable once we got going. The not so good: The meeting process was rough. We were told to meet “outside the gate,” but when we got there, it was chaos. Dozens of tour operators, signs everywhere, and no clear direction. Our driver was late, and communication was difficult. It took about 20 to 25 stressful minutes and help from multiple people translating Italian before we finally connected. Not a great start. The biggest downside was the van. They packed six people into a vehicle at full capacity, and it was tight. Very tight. Legroom was limited, and it made it harder to enjoy the views along the Amalfi Coast since you couldn’t easily look out or move around. Another issue was the guide situation. The tour description indicated we would have a guide for the Amalfi Coast portion, but that didn’t happen. The driver provided some light commentary while driving, but he openly said he was not a tour guide. So if you’re expecting a true guided experience, this may feel misleading. Timing was also a problem. Traffic coming back from the Amalfi Coast cut into our time at Pompeii, so that portion of the tour felt rushed. Bottom line: This is a solid option if you want a smaller, more affordable alternative to cruise excursions and like the idea of seeing both the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii in one day. But if you don’t like tight spaces, disorganized meetups, or you’re expecting a true guided tour, this may not be the right fit. We enjoyed it overall, but it wasn’t perfect.

1.00This tour was not as advertised. There was no guide except at Pompeii. We were just dropped off at Amalfi and told to meet at restaurant and when we got there they had no idea who we were and it took several calls and 10-15 min to get it sorted out. I did reach out to World Tours and their response was oh it was all fine and worked out - terrible service - I wouldn’t recommend World Tours

5.00My husband and I loved the tour. Our driver, Antonio was the smoothest and best driver we had on our 2 week Europeon vacation. Our guide, Felicia, did an excellent job of making sure we were taken care of and was informative. Amalfi Coast was amazing! I want to go back and stay longer! Pompeii was so very cool! Great tour!
