Your first stop is Montepulciano, a town renowned for its fine wine and views. The Renaissance hilltown is best-known for its production of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, a full-bodied red wine. Learn about it on a walking tour and discover highlights such as the Florence-style clock tower, the cathedral with its yet-to-be-finished façade, medieval wine cellars and the old town walls.

Great tour. Our guide did a wonderful job! Loved the history and views of the beautiful countryside. Enjoyed the wines and our lunch was delicious with hand rolled pasta!

My friend and I took the Tuscany tour with Erica. We stopped for coffee and restrooms at a lovely wine and olive oil business. Then went to the beautiful town of Montepulciano. We had a fabulous guide through the town and some time to shop. It is a wonderful mix of a Mideival and Renaissance architecture. We then went to lunch and a cheese and wine tasting. The winery was gorgeous and the food was some of the best we had eaten. The dessert served with the Vin Santo was a highlight. We ended our tour in Pienza. We had time to see the beautiful church, shop, enjoy the views and eat gelato. We tried the Pecorino gelato and it was amazingly delicious. We had a wonderful trip back. Val our driver was excellent. I would highly recommend thus trip. I would definitely take thus one again. November is a great time to take this it is not crowded.

Outstanding day! Lots of fun. Like how the trip was broken up. Stops were great. Lunch at the winery was amazing! Loved Montepulciano! Love Pienza! Just enough time there. Would have liked a little more free time in Montepulciano. Tour guide, Erica was awesome! Would highly recommend this day trip!

Wonderful trip with brilliant guide Anna and driver Luca. The scenery and architecture is a sight to behold. Everything was timed to perfection in every way.

It was a nice tour, the weather was perfect, cool & clear. Our main tour guide was Edoardo (did I get it right). He was well educated in Italian history and provided some very good information as we traveled on the bus. He even threw in some funny bits, but most missed the humor. The tour of Montepulciano was handled by a local guide. It is hilly so good walking shoes are advisable. It wasn't crowded and I could hear the guide clearly with my headset, you might not even need one if you stood near the guide. I didn't feel rushed and there was time provided to explore on your own. Lunch was next, the farm we went to had a lot of history it would have been nice to hear more but by this time only food is on your mind. Lunch was enjoyable, everything was fresh, tasty and well presented. There were three wines already poured when you sat down and as the meal progressed they poured more wine from different vintages. Overall a pleasant and relaxing day.

We loved this day! Our tour guide was Anna. She was fun, educational and fantastically interesting. Overall a great day. There are some uphill climbs and walking, but manageable. We had some time to do a bit of shopping. The meal and wine experience was very nice.

Our tour guide Barbara was very entertaining and informative. We enjoyed the views. Our favorite stop was Montepulciano. It is a long day but we are glad we did it.
