Departure from Rome for a full-day tour to Florence, the “Cradle of the Renaissance” and Pisa where you will see “Piazza dei Miracoli” with its famous Leaning Tower (external visit) and you will visit the Baptistery and the “Duomo”, all monuments in shining white marble. At 12 pm departure toward Florence, the legendary city of artists and architects from the 14th to 17th centuries. Stop for lunch. Around 2:30 pm meet with your professional guide for a walking tour of Florence, visit the masterpieces by Leonardo Da Vinci, Botticelli and Michelangelo, including the famous David located inside at the “Accademia”. See the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, with its beautiful dome projected by Brunelleschi and admire the Baptistery as well as Giotto’s Bell Tower. The tour ends with a breathtaking view from “Piazzale Michelangelo”, a superb panoramic view of the Tuscan capital, including “Ponte Vecchio”, Arno River and the “Duomo”.

4.0The assistant and the drivers were great. The tourguide for Florence was a bit difficult to work with. As we didn’t use a microphone and earpiece to listen to him. So we often couldn’t hear him

5.0The staff and narrators all along the way were very, very good! Giovanni, (might be spelling his name wrong, apologies), our narrator in Florence, wow! He is not only a historian person! He speaks five languages at least and when he asked where someone where they were from, he was cracking jokes in their native language. I will never look at a Margherita Pizza the same! Ms Teresa was amazing as well. WHEN I come back for a follow up tour, I will ask for both of them!

5.0Our family of 5 were picked up from and dropped back to our door. With a personal tour assistant and driver the day was well organised and covered everything we would need to see in Pisa and Florence. We enjoyed the day.

5.0We had a fabulous experience with our tour guide, Yara, and driver, Manuel. I apologize if the spelling of either name is incorrect. They were highly knowledgeable about the areas we visited. Yara made us feel comfortable and at home during the tour so much that we decided to go with her on another tour a few days later. I also think this specific guide company, Welcome Italy, had a great way of providing knowledgeable individuals at the locations we visited. Once we got to Florence, another guide took over with more specific knowledge of the art and culture there.
