Yerevan

Garni Temple
Garni pagan temple was built in the second half of the I century by King Trdat III. It is the only pagan temple preserved on the territory of Armenia. After the adoption of Christianity, it became the summer residence of Khosorovdukht, the sister of King Trdat III. The temple is believed to have been dedicated to Mitra, the Sun God. The temple is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

5.00We did the 6 day 5 night tour with Jan-Armenia in early June. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Everything was perfect. The scenery,the monasteries,the waterfalls, the swinging bridge, the cable car, the hotels and food. But most of all our driver Tigran. (Hope I’m spelling his name right). He was a wonderful driver and helped us in every way possible. He is a great asset to the company. Also the office staff were so helpful arranging meals and hotels Would definitely recommend this company if you are thinking of visiting Armenia
