What To Expect
Durres
Your day starts with a pickup by your tour guide, and then you’ll head towards Durrës. During the drive, your guide will share interesting facts and simple stories about Albania and the areas you pass. After about 1 hour, you’ll arrive in Durrës and begin a relaxed walking tour to feel the vibe of the city and learn about its history
Descending on foot, we visit one of the city's ancient towers, a restored structure that serves as a panoramic balcony offering a breathtaking 360° view of Durrës and the sea. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the fortifications that once protected this strategic port city.

4.00A really enjoyable trip overall. We had enough time in Durrës to see the main sites, with Paola providing interesting historical context delivered with a touch of humour. It was also nice to have time for a drink at a beachside bar, watching local children train in gymnastics and wrestling. The beach stop has plenty of bars and restaurants, and we enjoyed some excellent seafood. However, some of the recommended places were not particularly practical, being a 10–15 minute drive from the drop-off point. There isn’t quite enough time to both eat and relax as well as go swimming, but it was useful to get a sense of the coastline closest to Tirana - particularly as the better beaches appear to be further afield. Overall, a very pleasant day. Thank you, Paola - and thanks also for keeping things on schedule and not delaying the group for late arrivals at the initial pickup point.
Not Worth It – Better Go to the Beach on Your Own

2.00Unfortunately, this tour was quite disappointing overall and not something I would recommend. The guide, Paola, did not seem particularly motivated, and whenever people asked questions, her answers were usually very brief and not especially informative. The stop in Durrës itself can honestly be skipped. You only have around one hour there, which means you end up rushing from one place to another without really being able to properly experience or enjoy the city. Afterwards, there are about 2.5 hours at Golem Beach. In reality, the entire tour basically feels like a transfer service to the beach rather than an actual guided excursion. I would strongly recommend simply taking a taxi or public transport to the beach independently. That way, you can stay as long as you want and organise the day at your own pace. Overall, this tour is really not worth it.

5.00Great trip! Pixk up time is very reasonable and communication is good and clear. Driving times also very good. Durres has a pretty promenade but you have a limited time there. The historical points were oke, but Vilson managed to sell them as if it was the best thing and that you need to see them while visiting. Love the conficition! The beach is such a nice place and i really enjoyed the time there. I would recommend going to "AYO" for lunch. Had a lovely time and even was a bit sad that the tour was already over before it was over. Vilson is the best addition you could wish on your excursion. Would give him a 10/10, as well as the day as a whole.
