Get to know the locations where Game of Thrones was filmed in Peñíscola. We will visit the town of Peñíscola from Valencia, it is one of the most beautiful towns in Spain, it is on the coast and its old town is walled. You will learn about the history of the town and its most emblematic buildings. The old town is similar to Santorini in Greece.
You will also visit the famous castle of Pope Luna where Pope Luna (Benedict XIII) took refuge, it is one of the best preserved castles in Spain and it is also the last castle built by the Templars, you will learn about the history of the Templars and Pope Luna.
You have one free hour, in summer, you can replace the castle visit with more free time and go to the beach to swim. With the free hour, you'll have between 2 and 2:30 hours free. Just let the guide know.

4.00Excellent experience with Toni. It was explanatory, it spoke a lot about the history and culture of both Valencia and the Region itself. Excellent handling on the highways. He showed us the GOT scenes in the locations where they were recorded, which helped us understand each one.

5.008 hour round trip from Valencia - 3 hours on the road and 5 hours there, including one hour of free time. Tony is a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide and made the visit to the Pope’s castle a fascinating one. Who knew that there was a time when Europe had not two but three Popes?

3.00Nice small group tour, 6 people maximum. I thought this would be a guided tour of peniscola, learning about all about the history of the city with the occasional game of thrones throw in. I was wrong haha. Our guide was nice and gave us brief 5 minute run down on the city (the total of the information that we got) and then just took us to each spot the show had been filmed and played a video of the scene that happened here and that was the end of the city tour. The group had a reservation at a terrace restaurant which was nice. Then we head to castle, before being given some free time. The city and the castle are cool but definitely do your own research before coming as there’s no English information anywhere and the tour is not an informational tour. I’d never seen game of thrones but it was still call to see where it was filmed
