Even allowing us to interact with the very hands that picked them. Our traditions of raising fruit has continued to be told by the great care of farmers and distributors. Of course enjoying the flavors here in Colombia allows us all to brush up against a rich and wonderful past and future. We hope our passion will give you a glimpse into a real Colombian experience.

What To Expect
Plaza de Mercado Paloquemao
We'll meet at the "sweetest market on earth" Paloquemao Market. Once in there we'll start tasting different delicacies and start connecting the history and traditions of Colombia with its fruits. Depending on the season of the year, we’ll taste around 25 different fruits. After walking around the market and its sections, we'll end the experience with a fruit juice tasting that goes along with a traditional snack. The privileged geographic position Colombia has due to its proximity to the equator and the Andes crossing the whole country creates the perfect conditions for fruits to develop unique flavors.

5.00Don't leave Bogotá without having done this amazing tour! We had the best time discovering and tasting so many fruits, fresh snacks, beautiful flowers and of course coffee & cacao. It was just the three of us, so the tour felt extra special and adapted to us. If you want to fully enjoy the experience, do NOT eat breakfast beforehand! We're so glad to have done this. It was the highlight of our time in Bogotá!

5.00Val was awesome. Super friendly, super knowledgeable. Listen to her when she says to skip breakfast. Never knew fruit could span the flavor spectrum from sweet, to savory, to sour. Can't recommend this tour enough. Val also does cocktail classes for larger groups and I hope to be at one of them someday. Book this tour ASAP!

5.00The tour was great! It was thorough and really well paced. We tasted a variety of fruits along with a couple of beverages, pan de bono, and empanadas. Val was a great guide! She was able to explain everything well in great English and even gave us recommendations for later during our stay. We loved having done this tour prior to going to some local restaurants because we tried dishes with many of the new fruits that we tasted for the first time on this tour!

5.00Wonderful experience touring the fruit market with Valentina. Walk through the floral sections of the market, she highlighted the rare species found only in Colombia. Tasted so many variety of fruits, enjoyed snacks and juices. She helped us get an DiDi ride back to hotel when our wifi failed to connect. Highly recommend Valentina's tour.

5.00The tour was great and entertained both our teenage boys. I didn’t think I would get full eating fruit but was I mistaken. So many different types of fruits. We were also given empanadas, coffee and fruit smoothie.

5.00This tour was fantastic. And it's all because of our guide Val. We spent three hours exploring the fruit market in a small group. We started the tour with coffee (of course!!) We then wandered through the market and tasted about 25 different fruits. Val explained all of them to us. We also had delicious cheesebread and empanadas. Val answered all questions from the group with detail and patience. Highly recommended!!
