Lake Tanuki
Tanuki Lake offers a quieter, more peaceful atmosphere compared to the more touristy Fuji Five Lakes. From the lakeside, you can enjoy a stunning head-on view of Mt. Fuji, and on calm mornings or evenings, you may even catch the beautiful reflection of the mountain on the water—known as the “upside-down Fuji.” Surrounded by nature, it’s a perfect hidden gem for those who want to relax and enjoy Mt. Fuji in a more serene and uncrowded setting. Note: These spots are available until March 20, before the tea-picking season. After that date, the tour will include a visit to a tea plantation instead.
Shiraito Falls
Shiraito Falls: A large-scale waterfall cascading down a width of approximately 200 meters. The sight of the water flowing like white silk is breathtaking, offering a chance to feel the grandeur of nature while enjoying the abundance of negative ions. Walking paths are available in the surrounding area. Entrance Fee: Free

We were really pleased with this tour. Onaki made sure we had the best opportunities to view Mt Fuji from different locations, and we were lucky enough to have a clear day. Shiraito Falls is just amazing, and we wouldn't have found the walk which shows Mt Fuji in the background with Onaki's input. We were also lucky to view a procession in the town, which doesn't happen very often. Views from the Mt Fuji World Heritage Centre observation deck were spectacular. This was a really well organised and informative trip. Thanks Onaki.

We had Chi as our guide. We think she is a wonderful young woman and a perfect guide for us. This was probably the most enjoyable tour of our 17 days of travel. Lunch was perfect. An option was chicken tenders for those who dare not try something new. Even Vickie who does not like anything new ordered what Chi was having and the lunch was very good. We saw Fuji in the morning before the clouds covered it. We went to a nice lake and the top peeked in and out before it disappeared. The Sake store was nice and we bought some local Fuji sake to share with friends. Again the tour was perfect for us.

Fantastic time! It was a beautiful day and I would definitely recommend this tour to all. John was great driving and took us and spent time explaining everything.

Although good sightseeing destinations, but hardly any explanations of the guide (what is the point of booking a guided tour?), instead dangerous driving, mostly speeding (in 30 zones 70 in the city, as well as driven on very winding very narrow roads) and constantly much too dense dangerous driving. No regard for the urgent frightened requests to change this, but answer: "Stick to the timetable" and "that's what you do in Japan," although there would have been more than enough time. Can't do it if you're responsible for your guests, never again!

It was a great experience and tour our guide was amazing! Yes the roads are narrow and scary but he was an excellent driver we all agreed minus one tourist in our group.

Our cruise has an early arrival time and a too early departure from the port. This excursion started as soon as all of us got out the ship by 8! Excellent itinerary for a short yet memorable trip! Got the most beautiful photos here. The guides are proficient and helpful! Highly recommend this tour!

Chris was both knowledgeable about the region and as a Local, well connected to its community. With him as our guide, we were privy to a number of beautiful scenic views and super cool local spots that a tourist might not necessarily get to otherwise. The highlight of course, was the Dragon cave shrine. Our luck with the weather on our tour date was not great, but Chris still went to great lengths to make sure we still had a good time, and was also well prepared for inclement weather, including rain gear for us.

Fantastic tour! It was a small group and our favorite was shiraito falls. We couldn’t see mt fuji so we skipped the lake but he took us to a tea farm which made our trip worth it!

All in all, a great day. We saw most of what we expected to see - only the Fish Market was skipped with no explanation but I suspect it should have been a morning visit, not the last stop. The driver/tour guide was knowledgeable enough and spoke great English. He kept us well-informed via WhatsApp, email, and Trip Advisor message as to where and when he would find us for the tour. The only negative would be that he was a bit hard to hear if you are in the back of the van. I would book with Sunny Tours again.
