What To Expect
Lake Tanuki
Tanuki Lake offers a quieter, more peaceful atmosphere compared to the more touristy Fuji Five Lakes. From the lakeside, you can enjoy a stunning head-on view of Mt. Fuji, and on calm mornings or evenings, you may even catch the beautiful reflection of the mountain on the water—known as the “upside-down Fuji.” Surrounded by nature, it’s a perfect hidden gem for those who want to relax and enjoy Mt. Fuji in a more serene and uncrowded setting.
Shiraito Falls
Shiraito Falls: A large-scale waterfall cascading down a width of approximately 200 meters. The sight of the water flowing like white silk is breathtaking, offering a chance to feel the grandeur of nature while enjoying the abundance of negative ions. Walking paths are available in the surrounding area. Entrance Fee: Free

4.00Our guide Jonh was charming and a true gentleman. While the weather started out as dismal, the clouds parted, and it turned out to be a beautiful day. The views of Mount Fuji and the surroundings are amazing. The temple tour was great, but crowded due to golden week in Japan. Nonetheless, it was a great day.

5.00We had a wonderful day experiencing the highlights of Mt. Fuji. At first, the weather was not cooperating. So when we went to our first stop, we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji at all. But by the time we got to the waterfalls, the sun came out and we spent the rest of the day enjoying great views. Our guide, John, did a great job showing us around and taking great pictures of us. It was a very enjoyable day!

5.00Clear details about itinerary, expectations, and meet up and drop off locations. Each of the destinations from the lake to waterfalls to museum were as described. It was sad that Mt Fuji remained hidden behind clouds and heavy rain but one cannot control Mother Nature. Our driver/guide was very polite and helpful. I liked the small group just 6 of us. It made visiting the spots easier. Lunch was tasty and local. We highly recommend the tour.

5.00We really enjoyed this day out - I was worried about the timing, as our cruise ship arrived at 1pm, and we had to be back by 6pm, but everything run smoothly and the itinerary was specifically tweaked to allow for shorter time but still seeing as much as we could. For me the highlight was the waterfalls, incredible experience being so close to them - it was rainy and cloudy to start with but we were lucky and on the way back the weather improved and we got lovely views of Mt Fuji as well. we were family of 3 and we were grouped with two other couples and it was a small enough group to make the trip flow well. Miu was our guide and well done for great driving and getting us back on ship right on time while sharing interesting information about the area all the way.

5.00A good tour but be aware it is a mini bus for 7 to 9 people. The itinerary was good except there was not enough time to do the food segment. Instead we ate at the Shimizu fish market, which is mostly closed on Wednesdays.
