Arthurs Pass located deep in the Southern Alps of New Zealand. You will be traveling on the Great Alpine Highway through the ever-changing remarkable landscapes. This tour highlights an example of great engineering, spectacular waterfalls, and famous filming locations.
The day will begin with a collection from your chosen accommodation before we hit the road towards Arthur’s pass, our knowledgeable and friendly guide will point out those stunning views along the way. While on this tour with us you will see a variety of green fields to rugged mountain ranges, lush forest and ice-fed lakes and rivers!
There are plenty of stops along the route, so we won’t be spending all day in the van although it is pretty comfy. Of course, we will also stop at those must-see Instagram worthy spots too! Before taking the world-famous TranzAlpine back towards the city.

Friendly, accomodating and great value. Jakob was fantastic as a guide and really helped us to get the most out of the day despite having injuries and limitations with walking. Snacks and lunch were included and were tasty. Definitely add on the jetboat, totally worth it. Highly recommend.

The scenery, as expected, was beautiful. Our guide, Clive, was knowledgeable and interesting as well as responsive to questions. We made more stops than were on the listed itinerary, some for photo-ops, some for hikes and some for optional jet boating. One concern for us was that the tour was listed as 8 hours (approx.). In reality, it turned out to be over 11 hours. This was not due to difficulties, but looking back it was organized for this length (the train was scheduled to pick us up at 4:20, followed by a three hour train ride and then delivery to our hotels by van). It caused us to miss our dinner reservation. There is nothing wrong with an 11 hour tour but it should be clear before the reservation is made.

It was a long day but a nice trip to see the beautiful scenery. There are interesting stops. I would recommend it.

This could be good if one had not been exploring the country by car or on foot. For us, the first stop was a waste of time for everyone who did not elect to pay extra to get on the jet boat. The tracks run very near the road, so the scenery is similar both ways. Otherwise, the guide and other stops were very nice and enjoyable.

Very disappointed. Our train portion of the tour was cancelled the day before it was scheduled to take place. We specifically flew to Christchurch for this experience. When we inquired as to the reason, conflicting answers were received. The Cheeky Kea team/Sophie were “too busy dealing with other issues” that they “forgot to book the train portion” for our tour. While we did receive a full refund, we were shocked and disappointed in the unprofessionalism and poor communication from a company of this caliber. Since we were flying out the next day, we were not able to reschedule. Do better.
