This was such a fun trip to Bruny Island! The staff (especially Arie) are a lot of fun and genuinely want you to enjoy your day. You take a 40 minute bus ride to Kettering where you take the 15 minute ferry ride across. The Neck viewpoint is incredible! Well worth the 200+ stairs. Once you reach the office/restaurant at Adventure Bay they serve a nice breakfast of muffins and coffee/tea. The red coats they provide do help with the wind and sea spray. The first few rows of the boat may get wet but you get the best photos! The 3 hour boat trip is so much fun. We had awesome weather and got to see several caves, unique rock formations, a blowhole, lots of birds, seals, dolphins, and even a couple of whales! The staff knows so much about the wildlife and island and give a great tour. If you get sea sick, I recommend taking medicine ahead of time. The staff do hand out ginger tablets before sailing out but a few people on our ship were woozy by the end when we were in deeper/rougher water. The lunch after was really yummy to eat after a few hours out. I recommend bringing warm gear to make your time on the water more enjoyable (you can always take it off if you’re warm). The seats in the front do sit in the sun and it makes it less chilly. Overall this is a must do if you’re in the area!

Big swell and wind made the boat trip a bit rough. But seeing the fur seals at Friars made it worthwhile. Great lunch on our safe return to land!

Great tour. Very informative. Lots of seals. 3 hours on the water is a bit long, so be prepared. Be sure to check the weather as seas can get rough.
