What To Expect
On our arrival to the Caves Branch site, we gear up with helmets, waterproof headlamps, and of course, our inner tubes and lifevests. We take a flat 45 minute hike through the jungle before entering one of the many cave entrances and passages that make up the cave system. We hop into our tubes and float down the river as it winds through the cave system. Carried by the gentle current, we drift into an underground world unlike any other. Floating downstream through the cave passages we learn about the geology and ancient history of the limestone cave system. We also learn about the Maya culture and the indigenous inhabitants of the area who have used the caves for ceremonial purposes for thousands of years.

5.00What an awesome experience! We did 5 different excursions in Belize and this was the most amazing. Our guides Alex and Eddy were so super knowledgeable about the everything related to the region and history. Our group ranged in ages from 9- adult. You get to tube, swim in the caves and see some artifacts.

5.00This tour is so much fun, highly recommend. Office is in a great location, easy check in, left on time. We used MayaWalk for 3 tours and expectations were exceeded for all. The driver was safe and courteous. Terrific lunch. Great guides! Highly recommend this company.

5.00Wow, just wow! One of the best guided tours I've ever been on. Alex and Ed are super knowledgeable, fun and easy going. We had all ages in our party from 9 to 60+ and everyone had an amazing time. Great memories made, worth every penny.

5.00We had a great experience with Maya Walk Tours. We did the cave tubing at Nohoch Che’en with Ed. Ed was an incredible guide and introduced us to the history of Belize on our bus ride over and provided all the needed information on our walk to the caves and within them. We had a short walk to the start our cave tubing adventure where we saw a few Howler monkeys and then a relaxing journey tubing through the caves and the jungle. There was an opportunity to go for a swim as well. Everything was well organized and enjoyable. The lunch was delicious. Would recommend wearing proper footwear (closed toed sandals like Keens), bringing a waterproof phone case and an extra change of clothing.
Cave tubing was the highlight !

5.00My daughter and I just finished our cave tubing tour - it was phenomenal! Eddy (tour guide) and Melvin (driver) were great ! We left early, explained a little about the area and cultures. Our lunches were pre-ordered and ready to go . Cave tubing was amazing ! Caves were a sight to be seen! Everything was handled well from start to finish ! Would recommend !

5.00Jaser was absolutely wonderful! He was kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating. MayaWalk Tours was very helpful and professional, especially when we accidentally canceled our reservation and needed to reschedule. The hike to the cave was easy and tubing relaxing. Highly recommend if you are looking for relaxing and enjoyable activity.

5.00Guides were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Trip through the caves was amazing. We were disappointed that the description and photos of cave tubing on mayawalk’s website and literature includes getting out of our tubes and exploring one of the underground caverns. This didn’t happen - we just went straight through, with our tubes roped together. We saw other groups stopping to explore, so we weren’t sure why our tour didn’t include this. No explanation given. Otherwise, great trip and recommended. Easy for older people (we’re in our 60’s), There is an option we didn’t take but you can pay a small fee ($5) to not have to carry your tube the 35 min hike to the start point.

5.00Our guide Izzy was incredibly knowledgeable as well displayed reverence for the natural surroundings as well as the Mayan heritage. A perfect blend of hiking and relaxed floating.
