Valley of the Kings
The Valley of the Kings, located in Luxor City, Egypt, on the west bank of the Nile, directly across from Thebes (modern Luxor), is the core of the Theban Necropolis. Comprising two separate valleys, this archaeological site served as the burial ground for pharaohs during the New Kingdom.
Temple of Hatshepsut
Reaching an impressive height of 97 feet (30 meters), the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari boasts an unusual architectural design. Built around 2050 BC by Mentuhotep II, the founder of the Middle Kingdom, this temple features a distinctive sloping, terrace-shaped mortuary structure.

I travelled to Luxor with my 2 sisters, one who has mobility issues. We had an amazing time visiting the West Bank, Luxor. Our driver George and guide Ereene picked us up from the hotel in a modern, clean and air conditioned car. We had a half day tour which included a visit to the colossi of memnon, Hapshet Sut temple, Howard Carters house, and the the Rammaseum. We stopped for cold drinks and gorgeous, banana cake at Habu temple before going on to the AWOL - Animal Welfare Sanctuary of Luxor to drop off some supplies from England. After we had finished sight seeing we were dropped back to our hotel with the offer of visits to alabaster factories, shops and supermarkets and any where else we wanted to visit. During the whole trip we were always looked after and our safety and enjoyment ensured.

George took us from hotel to door of Valley of Kings, then to an alabaster museum where they showed us how they fabricate sculptures and vases, next to Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, Valley of Queens and finally to Colossi of Memnon. Amir and Mina gave us advice on which tombs to see, so do ask them because they know better! George was very nice, we felt safe all the time, he had multiple drinks for us for the whole journey. He even gave us an umbrella to protect us from the sun, so thank you George. We were not expecting the drinks and the umbrella which was a very nice touch.
