This is a full day experience for people who has experience riding horses and loves to be around them, this experience will take place over the 5000 meters of altitude, a perfect andes experience for horse lovers ! 09:00 - Pick up from your hotel. 09:15 - Arrive to The ranch. 09:20 - Start The ride to the Lagoons. 11:00 Arrive to the first Lagoon and rest for a while.. 12:20 - Arrive to the viewpoint of the lagoons. 13:00 - Box Lunch 14:00 - Go Back to the the ranch 16:00 - arrive to the ranch and take a taxi to the hotel.

Absolutely breathtaking day exploring the countryside of the Andes on horses. Holger and his family were wonderful and getting to have a home cooked meal from his mom looking over the sacred valley is something I’ll never forget. Manulo & Pinto were the most sure footed and trusty steeds we could have asked for. Was very impressed by how well behaved the horses were through the rocky terrain, not to mention how well cared for they were too. Pro tip: bring some carrots for the horses for after your ride!

We are a family of an experienced adult, an experienced child, an inexperienced child and an inexperienced adult (myself). In summary: We all had fun! The experienced riders got adequate horses and the guide gave them the liberty to advance at their pace, return, run, whatever. That would never happen in Europe! And I myself was happy with a lazy horse which just followed the known path at a human’s walking pace. Almost no need for me to give signals to the horse, no need to be scared of the horse breaking out, etc. The landscape is stunning, the ruins you visit are not very spectacular but worth a short stop and a few pictures. The tour in the end lasted 3+ hours (from Cuzco to Cuzco, going up by car, walking back down), which was more than the 2 hours we paid for. Very happy!

Everything about the experience was fantastic, from the prompt pick-up time to the tour of the ruins and mountains to the beautiful horses at the ranch. The family who runs the ranch is extremely kind and knowledgeable of the area and will do everything to make sure that your experience is the best that it can be. Many of the locations that were stops on the tour are inaccessible by car and a difficult trek by foot, so horseback is definitely the way to go. Cantering through the Andes is an experience that I'll never forget!
