The time goes by so fast. You actually have less time than you think! But it's TOTALLY worth the money. And it's a great way to see a lot different things at once. Perfect for if you’re on a short trip.

Best LA excursion! Perfect for a solo trip or a group! SUPER affordable and we saw so many things! Joseph our bus driver and tour guide was absolutely fantastic! Throughout the drive, Jospeh provided very cool historical facts about the city of LA, and shared what made each neighborhood unique. The amount of people on our tour bus was the perfect amount. We are extremely appreciate of how the company was able to pick us up from our hotel and drop us off at the hotel at the end of the tour. This experience was beyond enjoyable, HIGHLY recommend!!!

I absolutely loved this full-day tour and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to see a lot of LA in one well-organized day. The pick-up location in Santa Monica was ideal—super close to my hotel, with two nearby public parking garages offering reasonable rates, which made the morning stress-free. Starting the day at the Santa Monica Pier was a highlight. It’s absolutely gorgeous. I even dipped my toes in the Pacific and watched some very brave people swimming in that cold water! Venice Beach was such a fun contrast—full of skateboarders pulling off impressive tricks and an eclectic mix of boardwalk vendors who are entertaining in their own right. Don’t miss taking a photo near the Venice sign, and the canals were a lovely, unexpected bonus—quiet, charming, and beautiful. Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive were exactly what you hope for—what a scene! The palm trees alone are worth the visit, and it really feels iconic. The stop at the Farmer’s Market on Fairfax was fantastic, with so much to see, eat, and explore, plus great shopping at The Grove nearby. Our guide and driver, Colin, was excellent. He shared interesting facts and fun anecdotes throughout the tour, which made the long drive times fly by. I especially loved hearing stories about the Sunset Strip, Hollywood Boulevard, and the Walk of Fame. Griffith Observatory was another standout—amazing views and a perfect spot to see the Hollywood sign. It really capped off the day beautifully. Overall, this was a great experience and a full, memorable day. I’d absolutely take this tour again—especially if I return to LA with my kids.

A Day in LA was one the few tours that offered pick up at LAX hotels. We were sent a message when our driver was nearly there just before 8.30am and we then transferred to Santa Monica, before waiting a while to board a larger van. Group size was 12. Our driver Stephen was engaging and knowledgeable, and the tour itself was a lot of fun. We had stops at Santa Monica Pier (there wasn’t much open at that time), and Venice Beach - recommend getting a coffee from Menotti’s. We also visited one of the original Venice canals. Lunch stop was at the Farmers Market and it was much larger than I expected, with a lot of food options and time for shopping afterwards. We went up to Griffith Park (Observatory isn’t open on Mondays), but the views, including the Hollywood sign, were great. We stopped at Beverly Hills, and at Hollywood Boulevard, before arriving back to the airport hotel around 6.30pm. Throughout the day we were given ample time at each stop, without feeling like we were wasting time waiting for a pickup. A pretty touristy activity, but I would recommend this tour if you have a full day layover in LA with a late flight.

We had a group of 22 people from the Midwest that booked this tour because we were in town before a cruise and because most of us had never been in LA. Setting up the group tour went very well, we had several questions, but the staff answered them promptly and accurately. Once booked, we made a couple changes prior to our tour date (start time and group count) and these were handled promptly and seamlessly. On the day of the tour our driver Steven was on time and picked us up right in front of our hotel. The bus was clean, comfortable, and had some extra room to accommodate our group size. Steven drove us without incident to all our scheduled stops providing interesting information about each stop along the way. He also provided additional information about any areas we were passing through. He gave us very good food recommendations, helpful photo tips, and managed to get us around LA without ever feeling like we were stuck in traffic. Additionally, we asked for extra time at a couple of stops and he was more than willing to accommodate us. We would definitely recommend a Day in LA Tours and Steven to anyone looking to tour LA as a group or on their own. Great Job!!
