This was hands down the best tour of our Alaska trip! I would absolutely recommend the 7.5-hour Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise because the extra time on the water gives you so many more opportunities to see wildlife. We spotted whales, sea otters, puffins, and glaciers, and every moment was incredible. The crew was amazing, knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely enthusiastic about making the experience memorable for everyone on board. The scenery was breathtaking from start to finish, and the longer itinerary made the whole experience feel relaxed rather than rushed. If you're visiting Seward, this cruise is a must-do!

We took this trip the same day that we disembarked the Ovation of the Sea in Seward. The whole process was so smooth. We booked directly with Major Marine and it was cheaper than the cruise ship. We took advantage of the Stay and Play discount and stated one night in their partner hotel, the Gateway. They picked us up in a shuttle directly from the ship and dropped us at the hotel to leave our luggage and then we checked in for the cruise. We had an amazing day! We saw two pods of Orcas, several humpback whales, sea otters, sea lions, calving glaciers, mountain goats and many birds. The whole crew was top notch - so friendly and caring. Lunch was really good and they also gave you binoculars to borrow. I would HIGHLY recommend this trip! Do yourself a favor and skip the excursions from the cruise ship and do this one instead.

What a great experience, the boat tour was fabulous. From boarding to disembarking you are welcomed, served and guided as a true guest. You really feel that the Captain to the staff to help you through a sea sickness bout truly want what will give you a "best in class" memorable cruse. Always book directly with Major Marine Tours, their reps and service Tech are the BEST, especially with date and time changes or cancelations.

Major Marine Tours 100% delivered on our 7.5 hour Kenai Fjords tour. Captain Gary educated us as we spent the full day on the water. It was just the right balance of distance covered, time on the speaker educating and guiding us, and time spent observing each encounter. We were lucky enough to see humpback whales, seals, sea lions, mountain goats, numerous birds, and porpoises. We especially loved the time spent at 2 glaciers that both had some level of calfing into the ocean. Amazing! We were so happy with every moment, from the info shared beforehand, to embarkation, and lunch. The whole crew was friendly, engaged, and attentive. Well done!!

Ok first let me say wildlife is just that wild and weather can’t be changed. So if you go in with an attitude of positivity things will work out!! This is a family owned operation that employs people with positive attitudes and a deep love of the wild. From the top down you can feel the positive energy and the excitement of going out on one of their boats. We had a four person crew, captain Marcelle with deckhands Caleb, Kendal, and Ricardo and they were fantastic. From the commentary to the spotting wildlife to the food and bar service they were excellent. The boat is boarded by using a ramp and there is one step in and out of the main area. There are open decks on top to enjoy the viewing as well as on the front of the main area. Seating is comfortable. Inside area is warm. The food was an excellent cold cut sandwich, chips, granola bar plus a wonderful chocolate brownie. As for animals we saw: otters, mountain goats, eagles, seals, sea lions, orca, humpback whales, puffins, porpoises, and a salmon shark plus various other birds. You never know what you’ll see but we had an outstanding day. The glaciers were so close you could feel the coolness. The vast expanse of where they came from to where they are today is remarkable. The sheer size of their faces are brought home when you get that close. Cloudy days make the blues pop!! I love the junior deck hand program!! Such a great way to keep kids engaged. It’s fun for adults too by the way!! There is a snack bar where you can get free hot tea and hot chocolate plus other things for purchase. There are restrooms on board and they are clean. I would definitely use this company again!!

The walk is beautiful, the stops on the glaciers are too, the captain for each time the view a whale (we saw several) or other animals. Super indico we did the 7.5-hour tour

Great cruise. Captain was very knowledgeable about the animals and sites we saw. The crew was helpful and friendly. We were lucky to have a sunny day as well but even in the rain I think this trip is worth the money.
