I'll start off by saying that, after a lot of research, it became very clear that there was no tour that was only to Komodo island - most include Padar island, Pink Beach, and snorkelling. So I booked this trip for my partner and myself after reading other reviews. One of the main reasons I wanted a trip to see the Komodos without other experiences such as snorkelling, is because I'm VERY nervous when it comes to deep water. However, my anxiety was completely unnecessary! The crew/guides were so supportive and helpful, had plenty of life jackets available, and one of our guides actually got in the water with the life ring and "towed" a couple of us along for additional peace of mind. So, for other tourists who are equally nervous - don't be. I faced my fears and was able to see sea turtles while snorkelling, while my partner (who is very confident in the water) saw manta rays. The hike on Padar was tough-ish, mainly due to the humidity and steep uneven/unfinished path/stairs in some places. Needless to say, bring sensible shoes for this portion of the tour - we saw so many people struggling in thongs/sandals. The view at the top is absolutely worth it, and the crew provides you with water before you start. Be sure to apply sunscreen and wear a cover-up and hat - there is little to no shade. Pink beach was nice - and yes, actually pink. Be careful, there is sharp coral all through the beach, wear your thongs/sandals/soled dive shoes when walking/swimming. Komodo island was incredible! We got so lucky and saw 9 - including a baby!! The crew walk you to the entrance and introduce you to your island guides who are very aware the entire time you walk around and are more than happy to take photos for you. It's a pretty dry environment so be sure to take more water with you on this walk. They have a lot of stalls to purchase souvenirs from (unfortunately didn't get a lot of time for this though). The included lunch was quite nice and filling and able to be enjoyed in the shade next to the beach. The next stop was a sandbar in the middle of the ocean - crystal clear waters with lots of marine life. Nice and shallow for those anxious swimmers, but the opportunity is there to swim further out and snorkel over reefs. This was a nice refresher with the heat and humidity. After this, we went to a couple of other locations for snorkelling. As I mentioned earlier, I was pretty nervous about the snorkelling due to the deep water, but it was great! The crew were amazing when it came to spotting mantas and turtles and were very quick to get the group in the water so they didn't miss out. This tour was a real highlight of our holiday. The crew was amazing and regularly brought out snacks, and the drinks were on ice and self serve. They were incredibly polite and helpful and really went above and beyond to make sure everyone was safe and comfortable.

This one-day tour with Viator exceeded our expectations, especially since we were incredibly lucky with sightings! We will never forget the breathtaking views from the three bays of Padar Island, the tiring but absolutely rewarding trek. The close encounter with the Komodo Dragons is an emotion that makes you tremble, as is the surreal feeling of walking on the real Pink Beach, which looks like a landscape from another planet. The high point? No doubt at Manta Point, where we swam with Giant Manta rays, a crazy experience! We then explored Taka Makassar's idyllic strip of sand and concluded with snorkeling at Pulau Siaba Besar, swimming among corals and plenty of sea turtles in crystal clear waters. All this was made perfect by our guide, Wan: a very good professional, passionate and with exceptional care for every member of the group. An unforgettable memory that my wife and I will cherish forever in our hearts.

The customer service was excellent and the staff was very attentive. However, the boat itself did not match what was promised. There was no bathroom on board, and the seats and the overall boat layout were completely different from the photos and the description provided, which was disappointing. As for the attractions themselves, they were fantastic. The Pink Beach was truly pink, and I got to see several Komodo dragons in a safe environment. It was a bit sad to witness the poverty in the surrounding areas, but the snorkeling stops were amazing. I saw many turtles and even baby sharks. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see manta rays, but that’s a matter of nature and not the fault of the tour.

Full day lots to see & do. Pink beach really is pink. Stopped here for a short wander along the shore or you could get food/refreshments.Bit of a climb for the view on one island, especially in the heat. Obviously the Komodo dragons were the highlight. They provide a local guide, ours had a great sense of humour, was knowledgeable & took good photos for us. Didn’t need to go far to see some. Snorkelling also good. Saw a couple of manta rays, a shark and a turtle-not bad!

The day starts very early and ends around 5 PM. You can see the most beautiful spots in Komodo Park. The climb to Padar Island is tiring but rewarded by the beautiful view. On the beach there are also some deer that have become accustomed to the presence of tourists. The walk to see the dragons, which are many and certainly not drugged or asleep as someone occasionally writes, is the medium-length one and there is plenty of time to take photos and questions to the rangers. The pink beach is very beautiful and suitable for snorkelling in shallow water. Taka Makassar Island is a small white sand atoll whose waters are home to baby sharks and giant starfish. The manta point, however, is in deep water and unfortunately there was no encounter with manta rays. The island of Siaba, which in most other similar excursions is replaced by another island, is really worth it because it is full of turtles. The speedboat is not very big so going up and down the various snorkelling sessions is not very easy. Also the fins they gave us were much smaller than our feet so we went without and into deep water going without fins is very tiring. Of masks and snorkels we used our own, by our choice. On board there are life jackets for everyone, a toilet, small bottles of water and sweet snacks. Lunch is good and you can choose it vegetarian. The price, compared to services, is the best on the market, so I definitely recommend this excursion with this agency.
