What To Expect
Browns Canyon National Monument
As an AAE exclusive, you’ll start your adventure paddling through the majestic Browns Canyon National Monument. It’s the perfect way to warm up, with some awesome Class III rapids and epic Colorado scenery.
American Adventure Expeditions
Look for our big AAE sign and large log entryways. Shop our beautiful first-class retail shop stocked with a variety of t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, snacks, drinks, etc as well as photos of you and your group on the river! Plan to arrive at our outpost 45 minutes prior to departure in order to maximize your time on the adventure!

5.00American Adventures is The Best rafting company in BV…. hands down. I’ll keep it simple. 1. They are Super organized, super nice and absolute PROS on the water. 2. Ask for Captain KIRK as your guide. He is hilarious in his galaxy pajamas! but this dude is like… the RAPIDS whisperer! Totally awesome and brimming with confidence. Check out my pic he is playing electric guitar with his paddle… 3. Kirk taught me to paddle with your back, not your arms. Lean forward and dip then explode backward as you pull the paddle. TWO FORWARD! Ha ha ha. 4. Spuds did the pre-float briefing and I gotta give him some credit, he was hilarious too. “Grab the OS rope!” Leave them a great tip because they deserve it. Can’t wait to come back to BV and see them all again.

5.00OMG, what an amazing job Sam and team did. Everything was well organized, the equipment was top notch, lunch hit the spot between rafting runs, and of course the rafting experience was wonderful. Sam is the best guide. Thanks so much.

5.00We had the most awesome time today, with Nasty Nate as our fearless and very competent captain. The weather was wonderful, and the staff at American Adventure were all super-friendly, professional, careful about safety, and knowledgeable about the river. We had a smile on our face the whole time. There were several level 3 areas that were just the right amount of excitement.

5.00We had a family of eight with children 5=15 and adults. and did two trips one for the youngest and the other older grandchildren and adults. Both trips were great fun for everyone. All of the staff was helpful and provided two great trips. Sam, Derek, and Phoenix were great guides. Highest rating throughout. Thanks for a highlight to our Colorado trip!

5.00Emma F. was amazing! Even though I became the newest member of the Arkansas swim team, I had such a blast! The numbers is no joke, watch out for the number 4 rapid LOL! Thanks for always taking such great care of all of us from Mountain Men here in Tulsa when we come to BV!

5.00For those seeking adventure, Numbers was 100% worth it. Rapid after rapid. If thrills is what you are seeking, and you only have half a day, I would focus on these class IV rapids. We did the full day because we had time. The morning at Browns Canyon (class II-III) was much more tame and low key, but beautiful for the scenery. If I would do it again, I probably would have chosen Numbers twice- it was that fun. Shout out to Zach for sticking with and making it a memorable day!

5.00Our family had an amazing time at AAE on the full day rafting trip! The first half of the day was a great way to warm up to rafting, but we had a BLAST when we really got to experience some rapids! Our guides made us feel comfortable and confident! Zach was super knowledgeable and helped quickly when our slacker rowers fell out of the boat (lol). Andy was so fun and made us feel so safe, plus he supports women (slay)! Thanks for a great day!!
