5.00I recently went on the “Full-Day Private Custom Taipei City Tour” with Steven Huang. I had such an amazing time! He was punctual, picked me up from my hotel in Taipei, and had a bottle of water prepared for me. Steven was very accommodating, making sure that I got to choose what sights I wanted to see. He was also extremely organized and efficient. We were able to visit an attraction in Shifen outside of Taipei, so I was very thankful that he took the liberty of offering to drive further out. I had such a great time trying tasty street food and enjoying some wonderful scenery such as a grand waterfalls. This will be an experience I never forget!

5.00Our tour guide, Nana, was so much fun and completely flexible about our itinerary, so we had an amazing day in spite of the rain! Instead of visiting temples and shrines, Nana took us to Shifen Village to send up lanterns, and to see the Geopark which was just gorgeous. We then went to Jiufen Village and the crazy shopping area there. We got to sample so many local goodies and then had a delicious lunch in a local restaurant you have to access through a cave like passage. A day that could have been ruined by the rain, turned out to be one of our best thanks to Nana.

5.00Driverguide TC Lin (Ken) was already waiting for us in the arrival hall. He designed the tour according to our wishes. There was plenty of time for independent exploration. All questions were answered gladly and in detail. I would definitely stay again.

4.00I’m rating this private tour a 4 - while we were disappointed with the quality of the experience, guide Steven was kind and his pre-tour communications were excellent; also, the cost was reasonable compared to other private tours we’ve booked all over the world. But if you are looking for a comprehensive tour with a lot of commentary and local insights this probably is not it. Basically we had a private car and driver for 8 hours, and he dropped us off at various sites and let us explore on our own. There was a lot of silence in the car driving from one site to another; I understand that as guests we share the responsibility to ask questions, but I also expect a private guide to initiate some of this. Consider your own needs and expectations before booking.
