Excellent hotel pick up. However, our on board driver for the day was just okay. Asian/French/English…yeah, very difficult to follow his speaking delivery. Don’t bother with the cruise portion- again boring non-stop voice on-board of which we couldn’t decide when she was speaking French and back to English. Seemed not much to see. Maybe an evening cruise would be more interesting. Archibald/red umbrellas (meet up location) was delicious lunch.

Very rushed. Driver was late so we left 25 min late. Was unable to do many activities like walk all around the falls or take the cable car. Boat cruise the waiter took our order and after 45 min we tracked her down to find out they didn’t have what we ordered and she didn’t bother to tell us.

It is a great trip to Quebec and certainly worth it. Be mindful not to book the hotel pickup. It is safer and less hectic, if you arrange your travel to the bus departure point. You can read in between the lines that it did not work out for us, a bit of research also evidenced that this happens often/regularly, and you end up with an Uber. Ultimately, the bus will depart a good half hour later for sure. The communication around this is non-existing/awful ... and not worth the hassle. The travel is about 2 1/2-3hrs to Quebec. Our guide provided some insights about Montreal's flag/emblem and a few comments on intercultural observations. But all in all, the travel is to you (checking out the surroundings, napping / recovering from the non-pickup, etc.). Thus guide is around all the day and makes sure you are at the right spots at the right time. The hour at the waterfall is "just enough" to walk decently to the fall (stick to the right) and shoot a few photos before heading back to the bus. Going up by cable car or stairs is probably not feasible without running. The city tour is nice, the walk uphill includes 2 stair cases that can be readily mastered (you might end up being out of breath), but the stops are ok to catch up. Time in the city is enough to cruise the main street/plateau/sights. The AML cruise takes you about 45mins upstream (to see the waterfall from the river) and back to he barbour. The guide on the ship provides useful information on many things/buildings/related information along the shore. This is certainly different from the bus-travel. The return to Montreal is another 2 1/2-3hr ride with the setting sun. P.S. In case you are wondering. We still have not received an apology regarding the pickup on whatsapp or text. Let alone the unanswered phone calls. Obviously, we have also not received a reimbursement of any form (outside the 10CAD for the Uber).

What a wonderful and busy day! Great opportunity to see Quebec City, while visiting Montreal, and not have to drive. We were picked up at our hotel and taken to the tour bus. Everything was very well planned and timed. The time at the Montmorency Falls was perfect, the walking tour informative, the cruise relaxing. All in all, a great bargain for all that we saw and did. Highly recommend.
