This was a grueling walking tour of Rome with very little free time for eating or shopping. The guide’s microphone was horrible. If you were further than 4 feet away from him the sound was totally distorted and you could not understand what he was saying. Therefore, the educational aspect of this excursion was very limited. All of the main attractions were just viewed from the outside.

The tour guides were really nice. It started over an hour late due to other group members ran late causing us no time to get souvenirs or time to look at the points of interest. It is a bonus that they picked us up at our cruise ship and brought us back.

The tour operator did not give proper information on where to meet. We almost missed the tour. We were put on a bus with 140 other people in the back. We were told had to rebook the tour because not enough people signed up. So we rebooked the same tour for $404 which should have been smaller group tour. We were not happy. Usually Viator provides better service.

The tour itself was fine. Nothing outstanding. It manages to accomplish a cursory exploration of major sites without an intense amount of walking. Don’t waste money on semi-private for 6 person max because the tour provider does not honor this. We paid extra for this and there were 8 participants booked in our tour. The tour provider refused to refund the $85+ cost difference.

We were on a Norwegian cruise, and you had to take a free shuttle to the meeting place. Ricardo met us, and he was very responsive via text on WhatsApp. He didn’t ride with our van, so no commentary on the long ride to Rome. Julia was the Rome guide, and was friendly and energetic. Her English was more halting and difficult to understand at times, even with the Whisper audio set up. Rome was uber crowded and difficult to walk around. We were told February & March were better times to visit. Overall, we were able to view most of the historic highlights and take pictures.

This was a small group (6 people) guided tour. Pickup was dockside at the ship in Civitavecchia, which was very convenient. The driver, Francesco, was friendly, engaging, and very helpful. Arriving in Rome, we met our guide, Elizabeth (Eliza) at the first stop. She was at once welcoming and interested in knowing and meeting our interests. She also was extremely helpful. Her knowledge and ability to communicate was expansive and articulate, presenting interesting information in an entertaining way. Overall, the tour was well organized, got us to all the stops in a timely way, expertly getting us through tight, congested spaces to accessible locations. We were absolutely delighted with all of it.

Definitely, I booked the night of due to my cruise cancelling my Rome shore excursion. I am so happy I did. Kate the tour guide was amazing and knowledgeable and the driver Raphael was a great driver.

We paid for a small group of 6 tour & ended up with a group of 14 as we were joined by another car of 8. They were late which delayed our excursion start by about 30 minutes & I was very disappointed that I thought we had paid for a group of 6 to tour with & had a larger group to maneuver about Rome with.... (was delayed twice because of the 2nd group). The tour guide & our tour of Rome was excellent. (I would like some clarification about the tour changing from 6 to 14 people - I would recommend the excursion but not sure about the small group if it means you are going to be joined with other small groups. This was not what I thought we were paying extra for??? I really feel like we should get some money back for the larger tour group &/or that it should be mentioned in the description that it is a car for 6 & not a tour group of 6 you are paying for.... Again, The tour guide & the tour of Rome was excellent.

Hello. It was nice in general. It was a bit confusing with the change of the tour and with a driver who does not speak English and not explaining anything. The guide lady was very fast and we barely could chase her. So that was not an observation tour it was literally chasing the tour guide. Stops for pictures were not possible as if she stopped for explaining staff for 5 minutes and you risk to loose her in a crowd if you go to take pics with monuments. Stories that she was telling were not really catching. I had many tours in my life for the past 10 years of travelling and this one was really hectic and old school with no real information that can cat ch your brain so the guide not making you feel the city or interest in history at all. The last point was a Colosseum- it was there we actually felt discouraged. The best view points where we could Yale a picture and observe the monument we basically flew like bees really fast and furious. And only when we got down and reached the point of not an attractive part of Colloseum the guide let us take 15 mins for pictures - but the moment already is gone - all attractive part are gone already. I believe that should be taken into account and considered to bring the most of attractiveness and think for your clients to arrange the best of the best even if it’s just 4-6 hours tour in Rome. I would rate this tour in general as 3 out of 5 only for tour where we didn’t have to spend time on looking at the map and using the metro and for the AC on the vehicle.

A long day that packed in some of the 'big' landmarks around Rome as well as some lesser known sites with an informative guide who loved sharing detail about his city. It's a long day and it is more of a flying visit to a lot of sights, but good if you've never been to Rome before and want tommaximise your port day from the cruise ships with as many sights as you can.
