This all-day excursion takes you for a breathtaking drive along the Amalfi Coast to the picturesque hillside town of Positano (with 1 hour free time to explore on your own), then to serene Sorrento (where you'll have 1 hour free time to explore on your own), and before going back to Naples' port to the evocative ruins of Pompeii for a two-hour guided tour before returning to your ship.

What To Expect
Last stop: Pompeii. Pompeii is the most stunning archaeological site on the Italian Peninsula and one of the most visited. The ruins of Pompeii are an open air museum where visitors can go back in time and discover a city that had been buried in ashes until 1748. Visitors experience the city much as it existed more than 2000 years ago.
Second stop on the tour will be Sorrento (with 1 hour free time to explore on your own). Removed to the south of the upbeat urban tempos of Naples extends the Peninsula of Sorrento. This is a land where the scent of citrus fills the air and where grape vines follow the steep terrain to the edge of the sea. Breathtaking views of Mount Vesuvius and the island of Capri await you behind every bend in the road that leads you along this spectacular coast.

The entire experience was truly exceptional, and a big part of that was thanks to the fantastic group we traveled with. Our van accommodated eight people, including our driver, which made for a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. What really stood out was how our driver went above and beyond to make the day special. They enthusiastically shared their deep knowledge of the region, providing us with insights and stories that brought each stop, from Sorrento to Positano to Pompeii, vividly to life. Each moment along the journey was filled with discovery and genuine enjoyment. It was simply a wonderful adventure, and I can't recommend this experience enough for anyone looking to explore these beautiful destinations with a great group and an outstanding guide.

5.00Amazing tour! Sorrento and Amalfi Coast are lovely to visit and beautiful to see, but Pompei really stole the show! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and we learned so much about the places we visited from him! Definitely would recommend! Important note however: If you're prone to car sickness, be sure to pack some travel sickness tablets. The winding roads leading to Sorrento can be quite tough to stomach (NOT the tour guide or the bus driver's fault! It's just the way the road was built).
A great day on the Amalfi coast, and amazing experience at Pompeii.

5.00This really was a full day, and worth every minute. We were picked up on time at 8am, and dropped back at the ship about an hour before boarding deadline. Our driver and guides were wonderful. Anna took us through the Amalfi coast, visiting Possitano and Sorrento. We then spent several hours at Pompeii. Amazing!

5.00We had a lovely day with Chiara as our guide and Salvatore as our driver taking us safely along the coast. We got to each destination on time and we never had to worry about missing our cruise boat. Our guide in Pompeii was Vincenzo who was very knowledgeable and took care of everyone.

5.00Fantastic day trip with awesome guide and driver. Ciro communicated well and was on time to pick us up from the cruise port. He provided a wealth of knowledge of the history and culture that we would not have had otherwise. The driver also did a great job maneuvering us through tight traffic in narrow streets.
