This all-day excursion takes you for a breathtaking drive along the Amalfi Coast to the picturesque hillside town of Positano (with 1 hour free time to explore on your own), then to serene Sorrento (where you'll have 1 hour free time to explore on your own), and before going back to Naples' port to the evocative ruins of Pompeii for a two-hour guided tour before returning to your ship.

What To Expect
Last stop: Pompeii. Pompeii is the most stunning archaeological site on the Italian Peninsula and one of the most visited. The ruins of Pompeii are an open air museum where visitors can go back in time and discover a city that had been buried in ashes until 1748. Visitors experience the city much as it existed more than 2000 years ago.
Second stop on the tour will be Sorrento (with 1 hour free time to explore on your own). Removed to the south of the upbeat urban tempos of Naples extends the Peninsula of Sorrento. This is a land where the scent of citrus fills the air and where grape vines follow the steep terrain to the edge of the sea. Breathtaking views of Mount Vesuvius and the island of Capri await you behind every bend in the road that leads you along this spectacular coast.

5.00Could not have been a better trip. Easily found guide off the boat. We had a group of 21, all from our cruise ship. First went to Positano, which is beautiful. Amazing postcard views. Then to Sorento and have a pizza lunch with local lemonchello. Lastly visited Pompeii. All in all perfect timing and perfect trip. Ciro was a great guide. He was always taking care of his “family”.

5.00Timing was perfect. Left slightly after 8 am and returned a bit before 5 pm. Guide Ciro was great，showed great care about clients, enthusiatic about the job, very thorough in explanation. Driver Nichola was very experienced and drove steady and safely. Car's aircon may need some freon though.

5.00Ciro was an absolutely amazing tour guide! He made our day trip through Positano, Sorrento, and Pompeii such a memorable experience. He was knowledgeable, organized, friendly, and made every stop feel special while also keeping everything running smoothly. The views, history, shopping, and overall experience were incredible, and you can tell he truly cares about making sure everyone has a great time. Pompeii was especially fascinating with all of the history and details he shared along the way. Just be prepared — there is definitely a lot of walking throughout the tour, so wear comfortable shoes and plan accordingly. Overall, this was one of the highlights of our trip and I would highly recommend this tour, especially with Ciro as your guide!
