Costiera Amalfitana
First stop on this trip will be Positano (with 1 hour free time to explore on your own). Positano, the most picturesque town of the Amalfi Coast resembles a waterfall cascading down to the sea. Visitors descend narrow pathways, perusing artisan workshops offering ceramics, fabled lemon products, and the distinct local style of dress.
Second stop on the tour will be Sorrento (with 1 hour free time to explore on your own). Removed to the south of the upbeat urban tempos of Naples extends the Peninsula of Sorrento. This is a land where the scent of citrus fills the air and where grape vines follow the steep terrain to the edge of the sea. Breathtaking views of Mount Vesuvius and the island of Capri await you behind every bend in the road that leads you along this spectacular coast.

Chiara was our tour guide for our visit to Sorrento, Amalfi Coast and Pompeii tour. The tour was 8 hours, of which we had an hour in Positano to explore on our own, 1.5 hours in Sorrento to explore and a guided tour of Pompeii. Chiara was full of information about the areas we visited. There is only one road there and back, and it was scary driving as there are so many scooters. Our driver however was a pro and we had no issues (I'm glad I wasn't driving as the road was one lane, and so many twists and turns). They both made sure to explain where we were parking and how to get back so that we could stay on time. We had a private guide in Pompeii who told us many stories of the ruins and was very knowledgeable about the park and the museum. I would recommend this trip to anyone wanting a small slice of the amalfi coast and pompeii.

Lovely lovely day on bus and walking steep streets. Bring a hat and water and walking shoes, not for the faint of heart when it comes to hairpin turns and Italian drivers. It’s safer than it looks, but if you’ve never been in southern countries and their driving tactics, you’re in for a wild ride. Also ask for Armando. He’s the best. 🥰

Our guide was very good. However the day was too much. It was extremely long, a little jam packed and exhausting. Also, the restaurant that is associated with the trip guide was awful.

Wear comfortable shoes and clothing. You will be on the bus to go from one area to the next destination. When off the bus you will be walking uneven ground or up and down steps to see amazing ruins and the beautiful coast.
