During a day trip to the northeast coast of Taipei, you will have an unforgettable travel experience! A professional tour guide and a driver will take you to visit popular check-in spots.
Shifen is a town rich in culture and history which provide a nice glimpse at Taiwan's beautiful natural scenery. You can create a Chinese Lantern (天燈) with a wish written on it to release into the sky. Besides, taste Jiufen history and culture, eat local food when you stroll in the old cobblestone street.
Also, visit the natural classroom Yehliu Geopark, which shows bizarre terrain formed by thousands of years of geological movement that force the mountain jutting out of the ocean.
Please note that if the Shifen Waterfall suspension bridge is undergoing annual maintenance, an alternative route will be taken, which may require additional walking.

5.00Amazing. I have taken many day trips around the world and this one is one of my favorites. The lantern experience and the waterfall experience at Shifen was amazing despite the rain falling. The Jiufen Old Town seemed to go on forever and the Yehliu Geopark was very unique. Our tour guide Lendl was just as amazing as the tour. Don’t miss this tour when traveling in Taipei.

5.00Great excursion in a company of a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. We were pleasantly surprised from the very beginning as we boarded a very clean and neat Mercedes Van with only 2 other group members, so it felt like a private tour already. While driving to the first stop it started drizzling while no rain was forecasted. We all got very upset, inluding Michael. However, the rain didn’t ruin our experience, because Michael had super comfy water and wind resistant rain coats for us :) we liked them so much, even bought some as a souvenir from a local street shop. Over all it was a wonderful journey full of very scenic views and great memories to take home. Thank you Michael for making our tour so wonderful!!!

5.00I considered this tour for weeks and kept telling myself I could just do it on my own. While going solo would have afforded me more time in each place, it also would have added on so much more stress. Our tour guide, Kate, was such a character. I enjoyed her stories and suggestions. Loved the food options she recommended, especially at Shifen. One thing I wish I knew ahead of time (though I’m sure reviews probably mentioned and I just overlooked) was that an umbrella wouldn’t be enough to deal with the rain in Jiufen and especially the Geopark. My stuff in my backpack got pretty soaked at Jiufen. Luckily, there were lots of poncho options outside of the Geopark so that helped me get less soaked than I otherwise would’ve been. The tea at the famous A-Mei Teahouse exceeded my expectations, and I actually really loved doing the lantern activity at Shifen. Highlights of the day for sure. Lastly, I love that they dropped us off at Raohe Night Market. It was the perfect ending to the day. Look, I get it, I’m one of those people often reluctant to do this type of touristy tour but I actually think this one was so worth it. So just book it already!

5.00Sam was a great tour guide and was very friendly, and provided lots of good information and recommendations for each location. For a smaller group, the van was clean and comfortable. The tour was a great way to see several places in 1 day, without having to navigate public transportation. I would highly recommend this tour!
