During a day trip to the northeast coast of Taipei, you will have an unforgettable travel experience! A professional tour guide and a driver will take you to visit popular check-in spots.
Shifen is a town rich in culture and history which provide a nice glimpse at Taiwan's beautiful natural scenery. You can create a Chinese Lantern (天燈) with a wish written on it to release into the sky. Besides, taste Jiufen history and culture, eat local food when you stroll in the old cobblestone street.
Also, visit the natural classroom Yehliu Geopark, which shows bizarre terrain formed by thousands of years of geological movement that force the mountain jutting out of the ocean.
Please note that if the Shifen Waterfall suspension bridge is undergoing annual maintenance, an alternative route will be taken, which may require additional walking.

5.00Our guide Vivian was charismatic and very organized. She sent clear information and gave good recommendations. These are places I wouldn’t have been able to get to on my own. Vivian would order items if requested (such as lanterns) so they were ready and waiting for you. She also made lunch reservations if you wanted to go to a busy place. The time spent at each location was perfect.

2.00We didn’t enjoy our experience, although we did leave after the first attraction (Geo Park). The bus was quite uncomfortable and completely full, not suitable for tall people. We couldn’t really understand the guide as he spoke very quickly, so there was no real value in us continuing the tour. Overall not very comfortable and we ended up ubering to the different attractions which worked fine.

5.00The tour guide is experienced, responsive, organised and multitasker. Despite certain hiccups, he maintained his cool throughout the trip. There is extra effort for the hand-drawn maps. They seem to be individually drawn; based on the highlighted lines.

5.00Amy, our tour guide was a true joy. She had so many helpful tips throughout the entire day. We had an incredible time on the Full-Day Tour of Shifen, Jiufen, and Yehliu. If you are looking to see some of the most iconic spots outside of Taipei in a single day, this is the way to do it. Be prepared—it is a lot of walking, so definitely wear comfortable shoes! That being said, every step was absolutely worth it for the views and the atmosphere. Our tour guide, Amy, was truly outstanding. Her energy stayed upbeat the entire day, which kept the group’s spirits high even during the more active parts of the trek. She is a wealth of knowledge and made sure everyone felt included, providing plenty of fascinating information and history at every stop. From the unique rock formations at Yehliu to the magical lantern releases in Shifen and the charming winding alleys of Jiufen, the itinerary was well-paced and seamless. Having the tickets included made the whole experience stress-free. Highly recommended, especially if you get Amy as your guide!
