Grasse
Driving to our first experience: Grace Village. Start your tour by visiting Grasse, listed in November 2018 on the list of "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity" adopted by "UNESCO", for its know-how linked to the perfume industry. Stroll through the old streets of Grasse known for the workshops of the tannery industry in the Middle Ages. Then treat yourself to a visit to the historic "FRAGONARD" factory, one of the 60 companies that manufacture fragrances and essences, to understand the process of changing flowers into perfume. The rare flowers of the Pays de Grasse (lavender, myrtle, jasmine, rose, wild orange blossom, mimosa) make Grasse the world capital of perfume.
Gourdon
After this fragrant break, head for this small village "GOURDON" perched at 758 meters, between the Alps and the Mediterranean Sea, discover this medieval fortress and its beautiful castle built in the 8th century by the SARAZINS. Discern the strategic advantages, (the control of all "the valley of the wolf", the Mediterranean coast and the access to the Alps), to understand the fight for the control of this fortress, between the medieval powers until the German armies during the World War II.

Travelled almost everywhere in Europe, sometimes hesitant to book a tour, and this tour with our guide was one of the best I ever had in Europe. Highly recommend taking the trip to see how perfume is made and the history of the area with stops at small medieval towns on the route. Beautiful photo opportunities every where. Really enjoyed this more than a trip to Monaco.

This is a fantastic way to see remoter villages not easily accessible if you don't have access to a car. Laurence was an amazing guide, friendly, informative and knowledgeable. There was a perfect flow and cadence to the day. She shared useful information both during the tour and afterward through What's App. The only small issue was that we sometimes had difficulty hearing Laurence during the drive as we were sitting in the back of the van. Some sort of amplification might be helpful for those with hearing aids like ourselves.

This tour was absolutely incredible! Our tour guide was so passionate about Nice and the small villages we visited. The day was the perfect beyond of exploring on our own and learning history and stories in the van on the way to each stop. This was the favorite part of our trip to southern France and I could not reccomend it more! Such a small, local, and intimate way to experience these villages. I also can’t speak highly enough about our guide, she had just learned English in under a year to do these tours and was so impressive to listen to and her passion for the history and the tour shone through more than anything else!

1000/10 recommend! I absolutely loved this tour and Laurence was a phenomenal, warm, friendly, and welcoming guide who knew many facts about each place we visited. The small group we were in (7, including myself) was a perfect size for the tour we did. I absolutely will do this tour again once I return to Nice, hopefully with Laurence once more.

My husband and I highly recommend this tour with Laurence. She provides a small group tour to four villages that would be exceptionally difficult to do on your own. We found her to be a very good driver on the mountain roads and she was also able to provide interesting details about each village so that when we arrived we could take at least an hour to explore the highlights of each village on our own at our own pace. In the first village, Grasse, we had the opportunity to learn how perfume is made! In Gourdon we had the chance to order a yummy crepe that we took to eat on a bench while also enjoying the cliff side view.

Beautiful full day tour. Very complete, perfectly combining history, incredible views and relaxation. Nabil was an excellent guide, very professional and knowledgeable, passionate about the history of the region. He took us places to take good pictures and kept the group excited about his stories. I totally recommend.

Our guide Nabil (a former teacher of history) was not only very knowledgeable about the history of the region but was an excellent driver as well. The villages were all very different. The perfume factory in Grasse was a treat. I now know why perfume can be so expensive! My favorite village was probably St Paul and walking the ramparts. The most stunning view was from Gourdon. A wonderful day!
