Bled Castle (Blejski Grad)
Slovenia’s Lake Bled is truly stunning. Set in a pine forest with a mountain scenery backdrop, Lake Bled is can't-believe-your-eyes-pretty, and it rightfully deserves its name as ‘’the Pearl of Alps’’. With a snow-capped mountains and glass-like waters, Lake Bled is a home to Slovenia's only island. Sending an Austrian Alps vibe, once you come here you will feel like you have stepped into a scene from the Sound of Music. Think enchanted forests, toy town houses and a fairy-tale church. To get the best view, you will visit Bled castle - you can see right across the lake from here. However, spare some attention for the chateau itself. With its cone-shaped turrets, yard-thick walls and lofty parapets it is something special

We had a great day out at Lake Bled. As others have said, it is a long journey from Pula/Medulin but definitely worth it. Our guide, Mauro, was so knowledgeable and kept us informed about Slovenia and our progress throughout the journey, which helped pass the time. Lake Bled is absolutely spectacular and the scenery is amazing. The trip was very well organised, from timing of bus breaks to getting the tickets to the castle and arranging the boat trip and Mauro went out of his way to make sure everyone had a great time. We did the horse and carriage ride around the lake, which was very nice and a good way to see the lake from all angles. I would highly recommend this trip.

Amazing experience from start to finish. Our tour guide Micky was incredible! From the Bled castle stop, to exploring Lake Bled, boat trip and seeing the church, she knew so much about Slovenia and spoke very good English. There were 20 people in the group and they were all British and had a fantastic time. It was a long day we were staying in Porec and our pickup time was 7:45am and we were back at the hotel around 8pm. Definitely wear trainers if you can as it’s quite a bit of walking up steep slopes and stairs. We would do it again in a heartbeat and would 100% recommend to anyone visiting Porec.

Brilliant, brilliant trip! We missed out last year on this due to a lack of numbers! This is a must if you are in Croatia. What place to visit and well worth the long journey time which was three to four hours in all. Lake Bled itself was very very busy but it really was worth it. I have never seen views like it. Castle visit included free time on the lake and then a boat trip to the island. We also had the famous cream cake. Our guide was warm, friendly and very knowledgeable.

Really well organised trip, great informative tour guide. With some beautiful scenery. Well worth doing. Notes - the trip from pula town is longer than advertised. There is a really steep hill, that leads up to the castle entrance and either 99steps or another steep hill upto the church.
