"The tour is like a roller coaster of emotions, from stories of the civil war and gang violence to crowded and chaotic markets. It's a fantastic way to see San Salvador," commented one of our guests.
We invite you to discover the country's capital, which has changed the most in Latin America, a place that not long ago was known as the murder capital of the world.
Walk the most iconic squares in the city, visit Rosary Church, one of the few Brutalist churches on the continent and visited by thousands of tourists. Visit the National Library — the most modern in Central America, and Romero’s crypt — he was assassinated while celebrating Mass and his tomb is visited by thousands of people.
Learn about history and culture; laugh, taste, and walk with us.
We are traveling souls (Carlos and Gio) – passionate, dedicated guides, ready to show you El Salvador from a whole new perspective.

Don’t change a thing. Part historical, part cultural, everything combined nicely for a great experience. San Salvador center turns magical at night and the tour ended at the right time for us to experience the magic.

We took a 3-hour guided walking tour of San Salvador (9:30 AM–12:30 PM). We visited key landmarks including Biblioteca Nacional (BINAES), Palacio Nacional, Plaza Gerardo Barrios, Catedral Metropolitana, Iglesia El Rosario, Plaza Libertad, and Mercado Central. Each stop added a unique layer to understanding the city’s history and culture. Our guide was exceptional - knowledgeable, engaging, and honest about both the beauty and the difficult history of El Salvador. We learned about independence, natural disasters, the civil war, and the rise and fall of gang violence, as well as how dramatically the country has transformed in recent years under current leadership. Standout moments included the powerful story of Saint Óscar Romero, the breathtaking rainbow stained glass inside Iglesia El Rosario, and the lively atmosphere of Mercado Central, where we tried tamales, tropical fruit, and local sweets. We also enjoyed a fun stop at a local ice cream shop and learned quirky cultural stories like the origin of “Tinder Plaza,” which was a fun glimpse into local social life. Overall, this tour was the perfect mix of history, culture, food, and real local insight. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a deeper understanding of San Salvador beyond the surface.

Diego was a great guide. If you were conscious of the news in the 1980s, you will see a number of sad things you read about. But there are lots of other things! El Rosario is stunning. Don’t miss the stations of the cross. El Salvador is not dangerous anymore! The people seem very happy about it, as you might expect.

Super amazing tour! Very information on the history of not only the historic center, but also the country. Our tour guide, Carlos, was super great and an amazing story teller. He also kept the tour super engaging! Highly recommend! I’d just be sure to buffer some time, because our tour ran a little longer, but worth it!
