What To Expect
This epic tour will start at the majestic Pico´s Fortress, one of the highest points of Funchal´s old city walls, Fort São João Batista, more commonly known as Pico Fortress, and ending at the president of Madeira official house. The fort was built between 1632 and 1640 when Portugal and Spain were under the same rule. This construction was built and used to protect the people and the land against pirate attacks. A brief stop will be made at the fort. During this stop prepare to be amazed by a panoramic view of the city of Funchal.
The second shortstop will be at Funchal´s Cathedral, having been built in the late 15th century, this is one of the few structures that survived the period of colonization of Madeira.

5.00We had an excellent guide in Luis, he new his way in Madeira and brought us to a number of interesting sites in the old town. He made this Tuk-Tuk tour very exciting. He then made sure to bring us to hidden Madeira tasting cave underneath a thrift store where there were 1000 of bottles of the local fortified wine which we tasted for free. After that we wanted to taste the poncha which is a local fisherman’s drink and he brought us to the best bar in town which mixes it up fresh on demand , what a treat, We finished with his recommendation for local cuisine and he didn’t miss on this either. I would highly recommend this company if you’re in Madeira and want to enjoy the culture. The next time I would take a longer tour.
