Your guide Richard worked as a Wildling extra on Game of Thrones® seasons 5, 6 and 7. He was right there on screen in epic episodes like Hardhome and he was caught inside the Bolton shield wall in the Battle of the Bastards!
On this private car tour, Richard will drive you in comfort. With his tablet he'll show you which scenes were filmed in which location and behind-the-scenes and VFX breakdowns to see how each scene was made. Richard will take you north of Belfast to the real Iron Islands and all the locations north of Belfast along the Glens of Antrim and north coast. He has Iron Born costumes and swords as part of the tour at no extra cost.
A private tour with Richard the Wildling is a day to remember, a genuinely authentic Thrones experience!

Hello from Singapore! As huge Game of Thrones fans, this tour was at the very top of our Belfast to-do list, and it absolutely delivered. We've done several private tours before, but this was hands down the best one yet. Richard has set the bar incredibly high for any future guide to follow. What made the experience truly unforgettable was the way Richard wove together the rich history and heritage of each location with his personal, first-hand involvement during filming. His passion, insight, and storytelling brought these sites to life — not just for us as first-time visitors to Northern Ireland, but also as longtime fans of the show. Truth be told, we’ve always considered ourselves more “southern Westeros” types… but Richard made us fall in love with the wild beauty of the North, and the haunting, windswept shores of Salt and Sea. Thank you so much; we’re already dreaming of coming back for the Winterfell route soon!

We loved our Game of Thrones Tour with Richard on Saturday 25th October! It was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Richard’s passion, humour, and deep knowledge of both the show and the Northern Irish landscape brought every filming location vividly to life, while the private vehicle made the journey comfortable. Each stop felt immersive and unhurried, with Richard sharing fascinating behind-the-scenes stories and ensuring we captured incredible photos of the views. It never felt like a standard tour; more like exploring Northern Ireland with a guide who personalises the experience and who truly loves what he does. A perfect mix of interesting facts, integrated storytelling, and breathtaking scenery, absolutely worth it for any Game of Thrones fan.

I was travelling with my adult son who is a fan of Game of Thrones. Since I never have been to Belfast, I thought it would be nice to go and do a private Game of Thrones tour. I dislike large tours for many reasons and wanted it to be a special tour. I found Richard's tour by accident surfing the Internet. From the previously posted reviews, it seemed like he would be the best "fit" for us as he was an extra on set and was flexible about what we wanted to do. And he turned out to exceed our expectations. Richard was a great listener and an engaging conversationalist. He brings pictures of each site as it looked in the movie. He also showed "movie clips' taken at some of the sites too. So very informative!! We had such an amazing time with Richard . It was as if we had known him all of our lives. My 2 other sons now want to go to Belfast and do the Game of Thrones tour with Richard too. We hope to come again in 2026 or 2027. I have family living in Dublin and we had never been to Belfast before. It is so worth seeing and it is has as much as Dublin to offer. Richard, you were the best tour we had on our visit to Ireland. I highly recommend this tour with Richard. The sites are spectacular and your host Richard is one of a kind.

Our family of four went on the private tour with Richard, and we could not have had a better time! The entire experience was so immersive and fun and Richard was such a great tour guide! Richard was willing to answer any questions we had and explained how each stop was affiliated with Game of Thrones. Not to mention you see some of the most gorgeous scenery in Ireland I could ever imagine. Bayside views, to castles and forests. Dressing up as characters from the show was an added bonus and just so much fun! Richard thanks for taking us on our favorite tour around Ireland! If you do any tour in Ireland, do this one!

We were lucky to have the Game of Thrones - Private Audi tour with Richard the Wildling on our visit to Belfast. Richard is a great guide who really knows the area. He crafted the tour to fit our interests. We visited quite a few stunning Game of Thrones locations. Richard managed to get us there earlier then other visitors, so we had the sites almost to ourselves. He has pictures and video clips of what was filmed at every site, which was fun to see. Then we went to the Carrick-a-Rede Bridge. The bridge was exciting, and had beautiful scenery. After the bridge, we were off to a local restaurant for a tasty lunch. After lunch, we visited the Giant's Causeway, a truly amazing site of basalt columns. We made a couple more stops before another highlight, the Dark Hedges. Richard had capes and swords, and with us thus adorned, took great pictures. Richard was a great host. We were never rushed and given lots of flexibility in what we wanted to do. Luckily, we had good weather, but Richard was prepared with a plan B in case it was needed. He also had great stories, about Game of Thrones filming and about history (and legends) of Ireland. We recommend Richard for your tours.

If you’re a Game of Thrones fan—or even just someone who loves a good story told well—this tour with Richard the Wildling is an absolute must. He was actually part of the show, and his behind-the-scenes insight adds such a rich, authentic layer to every location you visit. The stops are stunning on their own—windswept cliffs, castle ruins, tucked-away beaches—but Richard brings them to life with humor, passion, and an incredible eye for detail. You’ll hear stories, see scenes from a new angle, and get just the right amount of nerdy joy (and maybe try on a costume or two). The whole day felt thoughtfully paced and completely immersive. It wasn’t just sightseeing—it was stepping into the world of Westeros, guided by someone who knows it from the inside. Absolutely fantastic.
