This was a great tour! Johnny gave us so much information about the buildings and history of Scotland ! Along the walk he took the time to chat with everyone in the group. I learn so much from Johnny. Great fun and totally worth the time. Plus he had great recommendations for restaurants, pubs, and other experiences that we could have in Glasgow.. Thank you!

Johnny is amazing. Full of wonderful stories. Very generous with his time. He even bought Iron Bru for each of us to try. Small group, so it was a lot of attention. The tour last three hours, which was longer than I expected. So we had a chance to see a lot and learn much about Glasgow. I would highly recommend this tour!

Johnny did an excellent job of covering the architecture, history, culture, and activities to be found in Glasgow. He took time to answer your questions and advised you on what to do and where to eat and drink during your stay. Overall very pleased with this tour and would highly recommend Johnny for a guide.

Johnnie gave a great tour. He was full of enthusiasm, and knew quite a bit about the city. He did a few things that impressed me. He took us into the Steps Bar to show the art deco style. We visited the Britannia Panopticon, which is being restored as a British music hall. He bought a bottle of Irn-Bru to share, which is a local soft drink even more popular than Coke in Scotland. He walked us into the Glasgow Cathedral and explained what we were looking at. The three hours went by quickly. Our group was small, so Johnnie had plenty of time to answer our questions.

Gander Walking tour of Glasgow is a magical experience and an education I’ll never forget! Johnny’s knowledge of and passion for the city are truly admirable. I learned so much in the short three hours - about Glasgow, about Scotland and about the UK. He makes history come alive in the streets of Merchant City. His enthusiasm for his beloved “mother Glasgow” is a beautiful thing. Honestly, if you haven’t taken Johnny’s tour, have you really even been to Glasgow? I can’t recommend him enough. It is an experience you’ll never regret!

Johnathan was such a great walking guide, Friendly, knowledgeable with plenty of ideas to make the walk interesting. Best tour I have done and will recommend to friends and family if they are due to visit Glasgow. Really great way to learn more about this beautiful city. Wish we had longer here to take up some of the recommendations Johnathon gave us. Very professional 😀

I’d give 10 stars if I could! Our tour guide Johnny, well spoken and had a wealth of information about Mother Glasgow, rivaled only by his passion for this beautiful city. Sure, you can walk around the city on your own but you will miss out on so many stories and historical details about this fascinating city. Wear good walking shoes and be prepared to be amazed. Enjoy!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience on this walking tour. The itinerarywas really well thought out, covering all the key sights while also taking us to hidden gems we would never have discovered on our own. It felt like a perfect introduction to the city, blending history, culture, and local insight. What truly made the tour exceptional, though, was our guide, Johnny. He was absolutely brilliant from start to finish; funny, engaging, and incredibly personable. His energy kept the whole group interested throughout, and he had a real talent for bringing the city’s history to life in a way that was both entertaining and informative. Highly recommended!
