All tours are conducted by myself, Johnny -- so if you have read a good review, you will know that that is the tour that you will be getting! I will provide you with a memorable introduction to this stupendous city, and at the conclusion of the tour, will be delighted to email you as many Glasgow recommendations as you can handle, tailored to your personal interests.
Walk with the self-styled Glasgow Gander around Glasgow City Centre, from Royal Exchange Square to Glasgow Cathedral, taking in the city's famed Victorian architecture, and drinking deeply of its vibrant atmosphere. Learn the fascinating story of Glasgow in the company of a passionate guide.

I have been a traveller for more than six decades and cannot remember a single tour that even began to match Johnny's Glasgow Gander for insight into and appreciation of architecture, history, culture, social mores and art. Three hours of unadulterated magic. I would happily have paid three times the price asked. A perfect cocktail of research, warmth and humour.

Best walking tour I have ever taken and I have taken many! Extremely knowledgeable guide. You will fall in love with “Mother Glasgow” by the end of the tour. Johnny helps you to see Glasgow through his eyes. So much to see and do!

Johnny was excellent, knowledgeable and a proud Glaswegian. His narrative was wide and diverse, his pace was just right, his follow up information via email was great and extensive. Worth every penny and a great start to our city break in Glasgow.

A wonderful walking tour. Johnny's incredible knowledge about the city was matched by his infectious enthusiasm. A really skilled communicator, Johnny opened our eyes to the incredible city of Glasgow and we are keen to return and check everything out. When we do, we will have Johnny's fantastic list, emailed after the tour, to guide us.

Perhaps the best tour we’ve ever been on. Our guide Johnny, was incredibly informative, amazingly enthusiastic, and made us feel like we had lived in the area for years by the end of the tour. Also, this was done on a cold, rainy day so not the best of circumstances. Well done Johnny!

We love walking tours in European cities, and we have been fortunate to have many good guides over the years, but Johnny's is at the very top. The city came alive for us with his spellbinding stories of historic and current day Glasgow. He was the consummate host for this city and we felt it was so lucky that we found Glasgow Gander Tours. We passed by a huge group tourists on another walking tour and I felt bad for them because there is no way their guide was in the same league as Johnny!

Johnny's witty personality, mixed with his personal knowledge and love of Mother Glasgow, makes for a wonderful experience! He will take you around the city and even behind the scenes in several venues, to truly experience Glasgow's history, architecture, and culture. He even treats his guests to a sample of Scotland's popular and tasty non-alcoholic beverage! I recommend taking this trip early on in your visit, because you'll learn some landmarks as you walk to help you get your bearings later. Johnny also gives you many restaurant and activity recommendations, but don't worry about taking notes, because he not only makes recommendations while you're on tour, but right afterward he'll send you an email with a thorough (3 page) list of those recommendations, plus many others! This personalized resource alone is worth the very reasonable price of Johnny's tour. DO NOT miss this tour or you will regret it!
