Poon Hill Trek is the most beautiful part of Annapurna region. So that most people specially do this trek with their children as it is an easy trek of Annapurna region where all aged group people can complete this trek successfully. The food and accommodation in this trek is quite modern and has good heating system in dining room.
Especially if we have climbed to Poon Hill for excellent panoramic views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range in the morning that we stayed in Ghorepani; we can feel that we are far enough and got enough adventure experience within a very short duration. The views are perfect where ever you are in the corner. Huge mountains are always standing just in front of your face. Especially numbers of Annapurna range, Mt. Dhaulagiri and Fishtail Mountain always keep knocking your eyes to keep looking their beauty and shinning.

So in all honesty, I rarely write reviews but we had such an AMAZING time with Base Camp Adventures (as well as witnessed difficult situations with other folks), I felt compelled to do so! First of all Shree, the owner, is great with communication! We got connected with base camp through a third party tour organizer, and I feel like we really lucked out with getting Base Camp (I would book directly through them instead - booking through the third party was the most confusing part about the trip). Our guide - Arjun (Aldan) was AMAZING! This was our honeymoon trip and he went out of his way to make sure we had a great time - getting us the best rooms, sharing his enthusiasm and love of Nepal...and making us laugh along the way. We felt like we not only had a super knowledgeable guide, but also made a friend. We hit a snafu in the beginning and Arjun went out of his way to fix it. We also had an incredible porter, Pormod, who was also very knowledgeable and fun to be around!!! If you can, I would request Arjun and Pormod! They definitely seemed (and we were told by others) exceptionally awesome! Another huge thing was that Base Camp seemed like one of the most socially responsible trekking companies. They made sure to let us know what the limit of how much weight was per porter - which we appreciated. Our guide, Arjun, shared how he had been a porter, like the owner, and then became a guide. It seemed like with other groups, the porters were given A LOT of weight and were treated differently, sometimes by the guides even. This was ABSOLUTELY not the case with us and we all had a blast together as a result! Arjun and Pormod showed a lot of respect to each other, and the owner.

I did this trek with Shiva as my guide. It was extremely well organised and I was very well looked after. I met Shree in Katmandu and he could have not been more helpful Fascinating trek with great views of the Himalaya from Poon Hill and an insight into life in Nepal. Shiva is very knowledgeable and helpful and knows all the best teahouses , guest houses and trails . It was an unforgettable experience and I was very happy with Base Camp Adventure .

We went with Shiva as our trekking guide and had the most amazing porters! One was Saha. he was so kind to our children and was always smiling. We would do this trekking trip again if we could. It was more cloudy than we would have liked, but we still have great views!!! Shiva has a servants heart and was so attentive to our family.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this trek on which we were expertly guided by Shiva Prasad. As mature age trekkers we found Shiva to be highly organised, exceptionally aware of our safety and comfort and a source of interesting information on all the sites and mountain peaks we saw. He was great company and we would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a safe and enjoyable trek.

Owner Shree made trekking itinerary flexible enough to adjust the schedule, based on my fitness level. My guide Navaraji kindly adjusted my trekking itinerary after I became sick. Navaraji took me to the roof top of the guesthouse we were staying to see the same wonderful mountain view as I would see at Poon Hill. Thanks to the help from both Shree and Navaraji, I had nice trekking experience.
